She looked beautiful. It burnt his cheeks to admit, but she did. Eliza was on his bed, nails tapping viciously against a slightly cracked phone screen, a small smile stretched upon cherry-painted lips as she was probably reading something funny on the illuminated screen. The angle of the sun was just right, the light bleeding through his thin curtains and making her dark, brown hair shine and a shadow cascade at the perfect angle. Her body wasn’t slouched, her spine straight like a pin, and Thomas thought if he was quiet enough he could capture the shot without her even noticing. He let his tongue slide along his lower lip, reaching over for his camera which sat behind him- only able to capture the device because she was just so...preoccupied. Turning the switch and twisting the cap of the lens, Thomas very slowly lifted the camera to his face, squinting one eye so he could look through the view-finder. The shot was perfect, the lighting was perfect and she was perfect and- CLICK! Startled by a sudden burst or white light, Thomas looked up, eyes widening in horror- the flash had gone off. He looked down at the camera and felt his hands growing clammy, and then he looked at Eliza- who was now looking at him.
“I- That was.. That was an accident I-”
