Dreamer and Selph
Past the dreams and into the nocturnal and unconscious you'll find the Self. A re-imagining of my Dreamer meeting Selph.
This one is inspired by another of Peter Birkhäuser painting, Puer. It's been fun studying his style of work.
I've also been working to paint a few of my own dreams down for the record. When I get more free time 'd like to render them a bit better to post.
The Selph
I discovered my new favorite artist, Peter Birkhäuser. His painting titled "The Observer" inspired this piece of fan art of my version of Selph. "Before we know ourselves, we are already ‘known.’ The self watches us like a superior observer, as ‘private protection, intimate understanding as an individual judge, an inexorable witness’ {Apuleius: De Deo Socratis, chapter 16}, allowing no self-deception. He is both subhuman and superhuman and sees things far beyond our conscious mind."

Finding a House Guest My fan gen Cocoa Alter, is finding a visitor in her favorite chair at home. This one is Aeternus Indigo Nero. He's one of the few visitors who tends to make themselves at home in Alter's place from time to time.
Nero belongs to my husband, who's been getting into Jungian studies. Nero has gotten an update as well. He's still mischievous, but he has those moments where he is just finding a spot to read/draw and snack on dried noodles.

Back from Hiatus
It's been about 3 years since I last posted here on Tumblr and while cautious I will be posting art again here on Tumblr, as a heads up my main SM is going to be bluesky.
I'll be working to rebuild my social media but I'm going to be limiting how many SM websites I have, as I will be developing a portfolio website soon.
