you lay on the snow-white sheets, basking in post-orgasmic bliss. through your half-closed eyelids, you watched jack, your eyes drifted lazily between the profile of his face, his freckled, muscular arms, and broad back, which was now marked with mean red lines, pausing on his large, rough hands that held your wrist gently, while two fingers checked your pulse. you watched silently, focusing your gaze on his eyes that were concentrated on the veins beneath your soft skin. after a long moment, jack moved his hand toward the crook of your arm, sliding upward, stopping at the back of your neck, gently cupping it and stroking your jaw.
you closed your eyes, relishing in the older man's affection as he gazed at your chest, watching the movement of your bare, perky breasts rising and falling, slower and calmer with each passing second.
when you felt his hand on your brow bone, you opened your eyes and looked at him, but your lips remained closed, offering no resistance to any of the things jack was doing to you, obediently accepting everything he did to your body.
“is everything okay, doctor abbot?” you asked quietly , with a shadow of playfulness in your voice as his hand left your forehead and found its way into your hair.
“everything is okay” he said fondly , wrapping his arms around your neck and pulling your sweaty body towards him.
in response, you grabbed his broad shoulders, climbing onto his lap, sitting comfortably on his muscular legs, wrapping your thighs around him—hot and wet from your juices and his thick cum.
your lips rested on his cheek, brushing against it slowly, taking their time as they moved across his face, marking every inch of his skin with a wet kiss as a silent thank you for making sure you were okay.
but jack didn’t need a thank you, your health and well-being were his priority, and after you’d let your body be used and abused, he had to make sure.
make sure his sweet girl was safe and sound.
Listening to Shawn’s Quinn audio for the 75th time and I think we need to explore the character of Taylor more. Need to know more about her motivations, wants, needs, how does she fit into the larger Grant and Iris story- I’m sensing a love triangle perhaps?
✤ a non-exhaustive list in no particular order. i didn't want to include an author's entire masterlist, may have missed a fic i loved, & have many on my tbr list that i know i will ✤

i don't know. there's a lot of people right now who are saying a lot of things very definitively about him when the truth is that a lot of things right now lack certainty. supriya ganesh, a young southeast asian actress, found a meaningful and rare role in the character of samira mohan, and she quickly became a fan favorite. there was no real suggestion that this character was not returning for s3 in the writing of s1 and s2, so it came as quite a surprise when, on april 2nd, it was announced that she was not going to be in season two. with no doubt in my mind, i will say something foul occurred in the last month or two that resulted in this. whatever happened was not fair. the narrative that they are pushing out to the media is that this was an inevitability for the character that they had foreseen all along. this is particularly hard to believe, considering that shawn hatosy, who plays dr. abbot, admitted not knowing what was happening with this situation. if it was pre-planned, certainly someone who was at the table reads, and who had been in contact with supriya ganesh only a few month prior, would have know yeah? on top of that, supriya was set to appear at an event last night with the other cast members but pulled out, stating that she understood certain people had bought tickets to see her, and that she hoped they would understand it was not a decision she had made lightly.
where noah wyle comes to play in this is that he is the executive producer, writer and lead of the show this has all occurred on. consequently, because of his front facing position, i believe he has become somewhat of the scapegoat in this operation, taking a lot of the blows that have come from the backlash. and that's not entirely without justification; he sat there last night and dolled out a lame excuse about supriya/samira's exit was a natural occurrence due to the structure of their show and this steadfast dedication to realism that they have. he delivered what was almost a near copy and paste of what he said last year about tracy ifeachor's abrupt and much speculated about departure. it rang as untrue last night as it did the first time he said it. in doing this, he took a stance--and it wasn't a good one.
however, i really don't think noah wyle is to blame for this entire thing. supriya mentioned a scene in an interview that the audience did not get to see, but was one that noah wyle had very much written for her character. his episode was (i think?) one of the shortest of the season, and i don't think that was because he didn't write enough. i believe he did, but what he had written was for mohan and they cut it. it does seem that noah wyle had every intention of samira/supriya coming back. his character spends the season dogging on her, and i'm not sure that's something he would've committed to so wholly if he did not suspect at some point in the future that relationship would be mended.
but some times decisions like this come down from places higher than the positions people like noah wyle or john wells or even r. scott gemmill are in. it has been this way in hollywood for as long as hollywood has existed. i don't know why anyone might find this particularly surprising, especially in a post me too movement world. one really interesting thing i find about this whole situation is the way the original article about supriya's departure dropped--particularly with the timing of it. i'm almost positive that was not something any of those three men would have chosen to do themselves--and you can tell why. i mean: look. with only two episodes of the show left, it shattered the already fragmented trust the audience had in them. it also did irreparable damage to the way people view robby. with no happy ending in sight for the character of mohan, it has become especially hard for people to view robby as anything but a bully who drove her out of the only career she wanted. i watched someone say after the last episode that this was the first time they had woken after a pitt episode and not seen spoilers all over their timeline. that's not something you want as writer, show-runner, producer or actor, especially when the finale of your show is so near.
this what i know: something happened and noah wyle has begun to perpetuate lies in order to conceal the truth about it. i cannot be sure he is or isn't one of the forces behind this decision (and thus worthy of all that contempt), but i can confirm he is going to continue to stand as one of them who covers it up. that makes him worth criticizing in my mind. if he's going stand there and be the face of this mess, then i think he does deserve to inhale a little bit of the smoke from the fire, yeah. but again, i do think there's much more to this story that's being told, and the anger over this would be much, much better directed at everyone -- from the very, very, very top to people like noah.
