I’ve Got My Ticket For The Long Way ‘Round || Choice Para
Taylor was sleeping. Or at least, they thought they were. It was weird, different from a normal dream they would have. It wasn’t some nightmare about some previous event, or some nice dream about gummy bears and lollipops. It was dark and dreary, there seemed to be a lot of fog, and they tried to place why. There wasn’t supposed to be fog, at least not according to the weather forecast. Then all of a sudden she appeared.
Right before Taylor could even open their mouth she said, “Don’t talk, this will explain everything. And even after then keep the words to a minimum please. You give me a headache.” Margo said and then all the memories quickly came flooding back into their mind. John Silver, Ben, Jim, everything. It all seemed so unreal, they weren’t even human! But their powers were so much cooler.
“Why?” Was all they asked Margo. Why did she do this to them, take the away and place them in Hogwarts, not that they didn’t enjoy it. But it had caused them so much pain.
“Because I was bored and it seemed like a fun idea.” She said simply. “Now pick one.” She demanded, moving to the side. Suddenly there were three pedestals, each one holding a different orb like the map. “The first one leads you back to your old world,” She explained as it opened up. “The second takes you back to Hogwarts with all your friends and shit and the last lets you go with me!” She said, with a grin. “Oh yeah, if you go back to the old world you forget the memories of Hogwarts, if you go back to Hogwarts you forget the memories of the old words and if you choose to go with me you get to keep both sets of memories.” She smirked, then added “But, I choose where you end up, no bargaining.”
Taylor couldn’t help but feel torn. They didn’t want to leave any of their memories behind. But if they went back to their old world, they wouldn’t have to remember about the pain of the war or losing Ben so harshly. The thought of forgetting Ellen, and all of their other friends from Hogwarts seemed too hard for them though.
The thought accord to them, they could chose both. There was that option, sure they wouldn’t know where they were going but did they ever really know that? Maybe they should just go with Margo, it might even be fun.
“Can you just chose already? You’ll probably choose to go with your friends or some dumb shit like that like you always do.” She said rolling her eyes as if it was obvious.
“Actually no, I’ll go with you.” Taylor said with a smile. They saw Margo’s eyes widen a bit in surprise, then she got an evil smile and Taylor almost second guessed themselves. They walked over and went to the orb. “See you there.” They said as they entered into a new and unfamiliar place.
