Rachel is turning 21 in 12 days and meeting Taylor would be the best present I have ever, or probably will ever, be able to give her. She was so happy when she found out Taylor was coming to Cleveland right before her birthday! She said “Mom, it was meant to be!” I really hope it is “meant to be” and that all the work I have put into it pays off!! Even if it doesn’t happen for her birthday, I will not give up. When something is important to your child, it is important to you and any mom will tell you there is not much that beats putting a huge smile on your child’s face!

Yay–reason number 13!!! This one’s gotta be special. :)

Rachel truly sparkles, just like Taylor. You’ll notice it when you meet her. I’m pretty sure it comes from within. She is so loved and so treasured by all who know her! She is a very positive and happy person and her smile is so contagious. She is very content in her own skin. She is one of the most self confident young ladies I know. Rachel definitely has a healthy self esteem and it really shows and makes others want to be around her. Rachel and Taylor have so much in common!!

Rachel’s love for Taylor is definitely contagious! Myself, Rachel’s grandmother, aunt, and even my fiancée have all grown to love Taylor Swift and her music. Even her older brother, a self professed audiophile, recently admitted he liked lyrics from 1989. Which is coincidentally also the year he was born!!

Reason Eleven

Rachel has pretty high standards for any boy that is trying to date her. One of those standards is that they already like, or they learn to like, Taylor Swift. Rachel’s last boyfriend definitely learned quickly that the fast track to Rachel’s heart was having the DJ play Taylor Swift songs every time they went out! I even caught a few videos of him and his friends singing along with Shake it Off–boy, this guy was good!!

Other boyfriends have made sure to include Taylor’s perfumes in any gift they give to her. A particular favorite of hers was a gift set that included lotion and a beautiful box. Rachel kept the gift set and eventually got rid of the boy :) taylorswift
