Today I was so humbled and honored to participate in the Novant Health Parade under The Ghood Kind.. Ghood Girl is a clothing brand (but so much more)that my friend began a year ago which celebrates black women and promotes inclusiveness and diversity And encourages us to love ourselves. Now we have had our share of black Barbies but nothing like this and we know that representation is vital for little black girls coming into themselves. I literally cried today at the finished product and seeing the little faces so excited to being able to look at themselves as enough and beautiful when they saw these barbies! Although it was freezing outside i was so warm in my heart and my spirit was pumped. Let's talk about chemicals?! Last year I wanted blue hair so I tested two strands of my hair to see how it would react to color. (Highly recommended!) you don't want to lift your hair and dye it and then realize your hair is not feeling the love and then it starts breaking off. I tested my hair And the strands ended up being a cute little accessory and I decided not to dye my whole hair blue,but as the year went on the blue became blonde. This is actually a lit accident and I love my little blonde strand .
