I donโt know if this is going to work or if I should be doing this in the first place because I I know thereโs people that need help more than I do but I guess it wonโt hurt to try.
My name is Mar, Iโm 22 and Iโm from Chile. I would like to explain the situation first.
I dropped out university twice in two years, last time was last year and it was because there was so many things wrong in life and I just couldnโt deal with the stress. Months later I started having terrible panic attacks. Months after that I was diagnosed with depression and just a week later I found out I was losing my hearing. I knew I didnโt hear like a normal person but I thought that it wasnโt a major problem and it could be fixed but no, it has no cure and turns out it was worse than we expected. I got to the point where Iโm having problems having normal conversations with people, including my family, and thatโs why I cant find a real job or go back to university. I tried thoughโฆ I few months back I got a job and I was able to save some money to buy my hearing aids but the panic attacks got worse and therapy was taking away half of my savings. I end up getting fired because I needed to leave or needed the day out because the panic attacks. Itโs hard to find a job where I donโt have to interact with people but after all of this that is going on in the world it became impossible.
Thatโs why I need your help. I know thereโs people with needs way more important than mine and I know I have no right to ask you for this because you donโt owe me anything, but if you have the chance to help me with my hearing aids you wouldโve be helping me take the control of my life back. I swear I donโt want money, I want the chance to get a good job to save money to put my life back on track and think about what Iโm going to do now that I know Iโll go deaf at some point (but not before I hear you sing in concert ๐ Iโll make sure of it).
If you read this and decide to help someone else, thatโs okay. Iโd be so happy for that person and it would make me even more proud of you. Thank you so much for what youโre doing. We really donโt deserve you.
AND if you really are reading this I want you to know that the ones that supported me the most when I found out about the hearing lost was the fandom. You have the best fans ever. You raised us well.
