Hello everyone.

I took the courage to do this drawing that I had planned to do later but inspiration got the better of me and I couldn't stop myself from drawing her.

My first drawing of Marie Korbel, also known as Bloody Marie, a character from the fighting video game, "SKULLGIRLS".

Don't expect it to turn out the same, it's just my version of her if she were seen in my drawing style.

El mes pasado Diciembre del 2023, se estrenó finalmente la actualización 2.2 de Geometry Dash y se me ocurrió hacer dos iconos sobre Ruby Gillman al estilo del juego. Quería hacerlos en ese tiempo pero tuve dificultades para realizar los diseños, aunque el vehículo de la nave fue más por inspiración. La verdad tengo algunas ideas en mente pero espero cumplirlas en cuanto tenga la oportunidad. Lo sé, se ven raros, pero me gustó el resultado.

Last month, December 2023, Geometry Dash update 2.2 was finally released and it occurred to me to make two icons about Ruby Gillman in the style of the game. I wanted to make them at that time but I had difficulties making the designs, although the ship vehicle was more for inspiration. The truth is I have some ideas in mind but I hope to fulfill them as soon as I have the opportunity. I know, they look weird, but I liked the result.

Mi primer dibujo de una pareja no canónica (y sobretodo, yuri) que he hecho por primera vez en mi vida.

Antes de que saliera la película en los cines, si hubo un momento en que veía a ellas dos como pareja, mientras me imaginaba la interacción amistosa que tendrían ellas dos en la cinta, cosa que pasó pero que al final se arruinó.

La verdad, cuando conocí la película gracias al primer trailer que salió en Marzo, por el concepto de ver a 2 individuos de diferentes especies, o en este caso de seres mitológicos, pensaba en una historia tipo Romeo y Julieta. (Claro, sin necesidad de haber un romance.)

Miren, yo no tengo nada en contra de las parejas LGBT, ya sean personas reales o personajes ficticios, pero seamos realistas. Que Ruby y Chelsea (o más bien, "Nerissa") terminaran siendo una pareja L en una película que es para todo público, no sería bien visto. Bueno, cuando ví la película, sí logré ver cosas relacionadas al LGBT, pero no me desagradó ni me molestó porque hicieron una aparición muy sutil y muy bien implementada, sin necesidad de restregartelo en la cara en toda la trama.

Y a pesar de que la historia no gustó para nada por cómo la contaron, pues, solo fingamos que no todo lo que vimos en el filme pasó y que Chelsea y Nerissa son personajes distintos. (Un hecho oficial que iba a estar en la película, pero que DreamWorks cambió y decepcionó.)

Y si hablamos de la historia canónica que nos dieron, prefería que ambas chicas terminaran como mejores amigas de verdad. Y en el caso de Ruby y Connor, hubieran terminado tanto como amigos o como pareja. No me molestó que terminaran siendo novios y no estuvo mal, solo me hubiera gustado ver también una interacción más extensa entre él y Ruby.

En fin, espero que les haya gustado.

My first drawing of a non-canonical couple (and above all, yuri) that I have done for the first time in my life.

Before the movie came out in theaters, if there was a time when I saw the two of them as a couple, while imagining the friendly interaction that the two of them would have in the film, which happened but ended up being ruined.

The truth is, when I got to know the movie thanks to the first trailer that came out in March, because of the concept of seeing 2 individuals of different species, or in this case mythological beings, I was thinking of a Romeo and Juliet type story. (Of course, without the need for a romance.)

Look, I have nothing against LGBT couples, real people or fictional characters, but let's be real. That Ruby and Chelsea (or rather, "Nerissa") ended up being an L couple in a movie that is for all audiences, would not be well seen. Well, when I saw the movie, I did manage to see things related to LGBT, but I didn't dislike or bother me because they made a very subtle and very well implemented appearance, without needing to rub it in your face throughout the plot.

And even though the story was not liked at all because of how it was told, well, let's just pretend that not everything we saw in the film happened and that Chelsea and Nerissa are different characters. (An official fact that was going to be in the movie, but DreamWorks changed and disappointed.)

And if we talk about the canonical story we were given, I preferred that both girls end up as real best friends. And in the case of Ruby and Connor, they would have ended up either as friends or as a couple. It didn't bother me that they ended up dating and it wasn't bad, I just would have liked to see more extensive interaction between him and Ruby as well.
