Making a case for that Ted Blocker custom holsterWhy Custom? because it's not a ready made product. Now I like to think I'm a gun guy, I have enough of them. But my taste is varied, I'm not a Glock guy, I'm not a Sig Sauer guy. Of course I have a few of them but all in all, that's not what rocks my boat. I'm also not a weekend warrior. Oh, a silencer would be fun, tactical lights are cool looking and on and on.Now with that out of the way, what do I like. I like CZ Shadow 2's, but only in single action, I like Tanfoglio race guns, also in single action. What about a nice STI Edge 45 acp with full dust cover?Don't get me wrong, I have a few easy ones as well, Staccato P, Cosaint Arms tactical Officers, a few just plain nice 1911's, but even they can pose a problem. It's the little things that matter. Add a recon rail and now it doesn't fit, ambidextrous safeties, doesn't fit, Believe me, I do appreciate double duty, but not at the expense of a fine firearm. I love going to the range and will almost always have one of the firearms in a holster. It's all part of the hobby. I'm not so odd that I need a brown holster because of the coco-bola wood grips, or black because of the G10 panels, I have one Ted Blocker Holster that carries several different firearms. It's the 911M, I love it and I'm not even worried that when carrying a Combat Commander instead of a full sized 1911 there will be a half inch of empty holster.
