Nov 22, 2016. The defense counsel met with Dylann for almost four hours.  Here are some parts of interest, clearly showing his mental state. - Dylann discussed his “somatic delusions” that parts of his body were undeveloped, his arms and legs are different sizes, and insisted that this was not a delusion of his because it was true. - When the counsel mentioned the photographs of Dylanns forehead he begged them not to show the photographs, and exclaimed he didn’t want to see them and to put the computer away. - Dylann said that the judge (gergel) liked him because he had smiled at him which would shift the “universal consciousness” of the courtroom in favor for him. - He told them that he didn’t believe he would not get the death penalty because people weren’t “that mean” and that the jurors would like him - Dylann ACTUALLY SAID that he would never be put to death and he would just start to cry on the table and they would stop the injection.  When he was told never in the history of the death penalty had this happened he told them to stop worrying about it. - In court he was unwilling to say the word “objection” because he was afraid that it would make the judge mad at him - Dylann remained fixated on unimportant things during the trial like the fit, texture and even weight of his clothing and not his actual defense. -He told counsel of his plans to write a screenplay that he wants to produce when he released, even including details about the musical soundtrack he wants and which instuments will be featured such as the VIBRAPHONE.  <Dylann, boy, wtf> - He almost never engaged with his counsel unless he was upset *while smiling* or to talk about the length of the other attorneys pants. - THE FAMOUS SPAGETTIOS …  Dylann expressed that he DID NOT want that shown or released to the public. I have so much more to write going through the court documents but these are just some of the hundred odd and abnormal thinking patterns and behaviors exhibited by Dylann during his trial.

Remembering those who lost their lives during the Marjory Stoneman Douglas school shooting.

These are the victims of the MSD school shooting. Take a few minutes out of your day to read about them. They deserve to be remembered. 

Alyssa Alhadeff: 

Alyssa was 15 years old.

She played soccer and was on the track team.

Alyssa was said to have been introverted and very close to her family and friends.

She was a straight A student.

Alyssa attended a jewish sleep away camp during the summer.

Scott Beigel: 

Scott was a geography teacher at the school.

He is pictured above with the cross country team he coached.

He was killed after unlocking the door to let students into his classroom to hide from the shooter. 

Scott was also a counsellor at a summer camp in Pennsylvania.

Jaime Guttenberg:

Jaime was 17 years old.

She loved dancing and was in a local competitive dance program.

She was described as being kind-hearted and having a contagious smile.

Her facebook page has been memorialized as tributes pour out.

Martin Duque: 

Martin was a 14 year old freshman.

His brother described him as very funny, outgoing, caring and very sweet.

His family is devastated at the loss of Martin, he was very loved.

Nicholas Dworet:

Nicholas was 17 years old.

He was given a swimming scholarship to the University of Indianapolis.

He also played for the school water polo team.

Nick aspired to be in the 2020 olympics.

He was described as being very charismatic and a very likeable guy.

Aaron Feis:

Aaron was a football coach at the school.

Aaron was shot and killed, shielding students from bullets.

He was also reported to have been a security guard.

He was loved by students at the school.

Chris Hixon:

Chris was the school’s athletics director.

He was described as the kind of person who would do anything for anyone.

He had a son with special needs who followed him everywhere.

Luke Hoyer:

Luke was 15 years old.

He loved playing basketball.

He is described as being very laid back, never causing any trouble.

His family is devastated, saying that “it doesn’t feel real”.

He was very happy-go-lucky. Never getting upset.

Cara Loughran: 

Cara was 14 years old.

She was a great student.

She loved the beach.

Her family says that her death is “too horrible to be processed”.

Gina Montalto:

Gina was 14 years old. 

She was a member of her school’s marching band.

Her mother described her as being smart, caring, and brightening any room she entered. 

Joaquin Oliver:

Joaquin was 17 years old.

He was born in Venezuela, officially becoming an American citizen on January 17th.  

He was described as being extroverted and always trying to make new friends.

Alex Schachter:

Alex was 14 years old. 

He was a member of his school’s marching band. 

He was described as being a great kid, full of love and life. 

Carmen Schentrup:

Carmen was 16 years old.

She was a national merit scholar semifinalist. 

A family member described her as being the smartest 16 year old they had ever met. 

Alaina Petty:

Alaina was 14 years old.

She was part of her school’s JROTC program.

She devoted countless hours to volunteering.

Alaina was described as vibrant, determined, and loved by all.

Meadow Pollack:

Meadow was 18 years old.

She planned to attend Lynn University next year.

Meadow is described as being beautiful, inside and out.

He [Dylann] stated that it is “ludicrous” to suggest that he is autistic or does not understand social cues. He feels that he is hypersensitive about to social cues and always worries about whether people like him or approve of him. He pays very close attention to the expressions on people’s faces to evaluate whether they are being critical of him. He sees this as purely related to his social anxiety, because he in fact does recognize social cues, and that he is very concerned about them. He pointed out that he never smiled in his website photographs, because they were related to his pending crime and were therefore “supposed to be serious.”

Allen Ivanov after getting arrested

On July 30, 2016 a shooting took place during a house party in Mukilteo, Washington. Three people got killed and one person injured. The gunman, Allen Ivanov (19 at the time), fled the scene but was arrested around 90 minutes later. Allen’s motive for the shooting was to get revenge on his ex-girlfriend, he had told friends he was thinking about harming her because he was upset that she seemed to be moving on after their breakup. Allen’s ex-girlfriend turned out to be one of the three victims.

Allen Ivanov was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Bombs found in the Kinkel household

Kips dream was to join the police bomb squad when he grew up, increasing his interest in making bombs and learning how they worked.

He’d order bomb making books and would visit bomb related sites, like the Jolly Roger’s Cookbook.

After the events on May 21 1998, the very group Kip wished to join someday— removed a large number of explosive devices from his home.

A few examples of the bombs/projectiles found hidden underneath and inside the Kinkel house: - Hand grenades - Howitzer shells - Batteries - Kitchen timers - 1 pound explosive made from 3 soda cans - Pipe bombs - PVC pipes with circuits - Empty firework casings with the explosive powder removed - Fire extinguisher bomb

This fire extinguisher bomb provided a prime example of Kip’s knowledge about bombs. A digital timer had been connected to the top and rewired. If any button on the keypad was pushed, the timer would start counting down from 1 minute and 12 seconds. The timer would also start if a nearby cop would use his radio mike. 

The bomb squad, transported it and remotely exploded it. The bomb was so powerful that even while being covered with sand in a hole two feet deep, debris flew one hundred feet into the air.

• Paige Mann, the former wife of the Defendant’s father, told the FBI that the Defendant sang a very offensive rap song about “niggers” when he was 21 years old at the urging of his father.

• Dalton Tyler described that when he was with Roof one night and after visiting a strip club, they drove by an African American woman standing outside a red light house, he shouted out the window of the car to her “you nigger bitch. I’ll shoot your black ass.”

• Vanessa Clifford told the FBI that the Defendant would make racist comments a lot and use the “N-word” often but “like a joke.” However, he sincerely did not like black people. More than two years before the event, she said that the Defendant described black people as horrible and that they had taken over the country and were abusing white women.

• Laura Plexico told the FBI that the Defendant hated blacks and that he said he was a neo-Nazi. He told her of his plan to rob gay people in Charleston with a gun he had. He also described buying beer for a black man in Charleston to keep him homeless.
