Occasionally a kid stops by to ask Izuku for help on an assignment, or to get some feedback on the way they've been using their quirk. And Shoto always just sits there quietly and watches the way Izuku gently smiles at the kid and says things like "Hey kiddo! No, don't worry, you're not interrupting anything, come on in!". And something about seeing the way Izuku interacts with his students is like salve to all those traumatic memories of his own childhood Shoto has, a reminder that people can and do treat children gently, and lovingly, and when they do those kids flourish and grow into such incredible people-
