WIP Winter Palace of St Petersburg (Зимний дворец)
Hello everyone !
I did not post anything for a long time because I didn't have any time for building in the last years.
You may know that I lost every saves that I had and it convinced me that I should build a new version of the palace. I'm working every time I can but but I don't think I'll ever finish it, simply because I'm too frustrated in my perfectionist mind not to be able to make it to its exact size due to lot limitations. I tried to work with the wonderful lot placement @cliffou29 made, but it made walls disappear (EA PLEASE give us 200x200 lots)
Anyway, the dimensions of the palace are not at all the same as my old version because there were some rooms that I wanted to do in full. Thanks to the virtual visite on the site of the Hermitage Museum, the room that I finished are pretty detailed (still not perfect due to size restrictions in the game) and I even added my own cc to have the exact paintings.
Exterior
It is the same as it was before, I think I just changed the windows.
The Jordan Staircase
Probably my favourite part of the whole build, in real life it is even more magnificent of course and the Sims 4 version don't do justice to it, but I tried my best.
Field's Marshall Hall
It wasn't at all in the old version. The paintings are recolours and are the real paintings in the hall.
Peter the Great Hall (The Small Throne Room)
The size of the hall is not exact but it is detailed. The most difficult thing to do was to get this kind of round shape with the wall (the real round rooms added with High School Years were not working)
Armorial Hall
It is missing the statue behind the benches but I don't know how to do them ... it is still a work in progress !
War Gallery of 1812
It is one of the room that frustates me the most, it is a long corridor and the Sims version I built is so small, it is supposed to hold hundred of military portaits. And the room is in real life connected to St George Hall (or the Great Throne Room) but I don't have enough space to do it of course !
Thank you if you still follow me even if I am not active at all, it means the world to me. I hope I'll have time to build other things and that I'll post about that !
Take care xx
hello im a big fan of you can you tell me when do you plan relase the russian imperial palace the winter palace tsarskoye selo
Oh hello !! Thank youuu so much, it means a lot to me. The Winter Palace is a HUGE project and a HUGE lot. It is not exactly finished and to be honest I had left it aside for a while... But if you're interested then I'll get back to work !!
Just some info
I don't know if someone is reading this but know that i'm working on some stuff, I just finished my exams and I can finally get back to creating. I have already done several test poses and at the moment I'm working to redo Princess Eugenie's wedding dress for the Sims 4 but working with Marvelous Designer is really not my cup of tea but I NEED It in my game
St George's Chapel - Windsor Castle
I had to rebuild everything because I really lost everything from my old saves ... It took me a while but at least I'm proud of myself.
It's not 100% accurate but I tried as soon as I had time between my college classes to make it look as good as possible !
I don't think i will share it but maybe i will, I am very indecisive and not confident with my build, I hope you enjoy the screenshots for now :)
Take care xx
I'm cursed
I accidentally lost all of my sims 4 files. All the saves I had for 3 years, my household.
I miraculously managed to get my buildings back. Fortunately because I spent 1 week for each on the Winter Palace and the St Georges Chapel.
I have to recover psychologically before re downloading my cc that I accumulated for all these years and which may can not be found any more.

WINTER PALACE OF ST PETERSBURG
After seven days of work I think I have finished the exteriors and some rooms, but there is still a lot of work to do and bug to fix. It’s surely isn’t 100% accurate but I try my best.

WORK IN PROGRESS
The staircase is one of the few parts of the palace retaining the original 18th-century style. The massive grey granite columns, however, were added in the mid 19th century.
Winter Palace of St Petersburg Project
I’m currently trying to build the Winter Palace of St Petersburg. It was the official residence of the Russian Emperors from 1732 to 1917.
On 30 October 1917, the palace was declared to be part of the Hermitage public museums. Today, as part of one of the world's best known museums, the palace attracts an annual 3.5 million visitors.
I visited it with my family and I fell in love with it. So now, i’m trying to build it in the Sims 4. It’s technically impossible to replicate such a massive palace ( given the limited size of the lot for example), but I will try my best.
