WIP Winter Palace of St Petersburg (Зимний дворец)
I did not post anything for a long time because I didn't have any time for building in the last years.
You may know that I lost every saves that I had and it convinced me that I should build a new version of the palace. I'm working every time I can but but I don't think I'll ever finish it, simply because I'm too frustrated in my perfectionist mind not to be able to make it to its exact size due to lot limitations. I tried to work with the wonderful lot placement @cliffou29 made, but it made walls disappear (EA PLEASE give us 200x200 lots)
Anyway, the dimensions of the palace are not at all the same as my old version because there were some rooms that I wanted to do in full. Thanks to the virtual visite on the site of the Hermitage Museum, the room that I finished are pretty detailed (still not perfect due to size restrictions in the game) and I even added my own cc to have the exact paintings.
It is the same as it was before, I think I just changed the windows.
Probably my favourite part of the whole build, in real life it is even more magnificent of course and the Sims 4 version don't do justice to it, but I tried my best.
It wasn't at all in the old version. The paintings are recolours and are the real paintings in the hall.
Peter the Great Hall (The Small Throne Room)
The size of the hall is not exact but it is detailed. The most difficult thing to do was to get this kind of round shape with the wall (the real round rooms added with High School Years were not working)
It is missing the statue behind the benches but I don't know how to do them ... it is still a work in progress !
It is one of the room that frustates me the most, it is a long corridor and the Sims version I built is so small, it is supposed to hold hundred of military portaits. And the room is in real life connected to St George Hall (or the Great Throne Room) but I don't have enough space to do it of course !
Thank you if you still follow me even if I am not active at all, it means the world to me. I hope I'll have time to build other things and that I'll post about that !
