どもありがとうございます!
I just wanted to give a big thank you to all of you for continuing to support and follow me!! Even though I rarely post my own content anymore, you are all still here and it means so much. I know I always say I’ll start posting more often, and never do. But now that I am a Japanese education major, I really want to post little lessons more to get ready for my career as a Japanese teacher!
Also feel free to send me messages whenever and about anything! Even if it’s just a simple message because you want to practice your Japanese.
あなたは日本語以外の言語を勉強していますか。私、中国語と韓国語を勉強しています。中国語の字と韓国語の文法を覚えることは少し大変ですよ。でも、がんばっています!^^"
私も中国語を勉強しています!韓国語を勉強しました。ドイツ語をまた勉強しています。中国語の字はむずかしいをおぼえます。漢字もって中国語の字をとりちがえます。
Kanji that look like Katakana
…and vice versa. Well, since katakana was derived from kanji elements in the first place, it’s no surprise to see things like ム、マ、ネ、イ、リ appear in kanji. But look at these guys!
力 vs カ (ka) 力 「ちから」 power 全力 「ぜんりょく」 all one’s might カレー curry
工 vs エ (e) 工事 「こうじ」 construction work エアコン AC, air conditioner
夕 vs タ (ta) 夕べ 「ゆうべ」 evening タバコ tobacco
才 vs オ 才能 「さいのう」 talent オートバイ motorcycle (wasei: autobike)
Divination 卜「うらない」 that looks like ト (to) is also worth mentioning, but it’s rare and normally would be written as 占い anyway.

皆さん、こんにちは!
お元気ですか?このがっきは日本語のクラスをはじめました。私はげんのきょうかしょをつかっています。日本語をれんしゅうしたい。
メッサジをよこしてください!
Finally got around to making another grammar point! Thank you so much for all your patience guys. Anyway, I hope you enjoy! Sorry I couldn’t make this too long or have very good quality. I have to run to class. Love you all!
Today we’ll be learning how to tell the time in Japanese!
The formula is quite simple, but you have to take note & memorize the irregularity of some reading, especially in minutes. The irregular are colored in red~
Note that you will need to add Japanese AM & PM before stating the hour and minute! Happy learning! 。゚✶ฺ.ヽ(*´∀`*)ノ.✶゚ฺ。
Happy learning °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖°

To Japanese learners,
if you’re constantly looking up references online or using Google translate for vocabulary, you should definitely bookmark jisho.org – NOT JISHO.COM IT’S NOT THE SAME LOL
Jisho (辞書) means dictionary. But this website has a lot of functions! On the home page it tells you some. It’s free and you don’t need an account. You can look up words in English or Japanese and you can even use romaji.
Verb and noun conjugations, they have them!
Kanji details? Stroke order? Vocabulary combinations? They have them!
I think the most useful part is the sample sentences. You’ll find when you look up a certain word, there’s about 5 different ways to say it. The sample sentences definitely provide great context.
Happy learning!
Langblr Motivation Group
Hey everyone! There’s been some interest around making a langblr study group where we can motivate each other, share our successes, and get advice regardless of what language we’re learning.
@fuckonsdeneige suggested using Discord (thank you so much for setting it up!!!), as we can have a thread for a big group discussion, as well as side discussions amongst people who are learning the same language. There’s also the ability for voice chats (no video), so there’s also the option to practise speaking in your target language. To access the server, click this link HERE.
Some things to note:
You’ll have to create an account (just basic username and password. I used my tumblr username as my Discord username).
You have the option to use the desktop app or mobile app, but it works just fine on the internet as well.
Let me or @fuckonsdeneige know if you have any questions! I really hope this can help people stay on track and not burn out with their language studies. Let’s make 2017 awesome :)
It looks like this guys. I promise it’s real! :)
Here’s the link to the server.
This server is a wonderful community!! I’ve been a part of it since it started up pretty much. Everyone is so nice and encouraging.Anytime I feel a slump in learning languages or studying in general, these guys have my back and help me through it! <3 I would highly recommend checking it out
Grammar sheets
I also have a small folder for grammar sheets for those interested. I hope to be posting more often as I begin taking Japanese here at my university this coming semester!
Vocab lists
As some have requested before, here is a folder of the vocab sheets I have made. As I make more and post them, I will be sure to add them to this folder.
Turns out I’m fucking terrible at English.
