30 Days of Character Development: 14.) How does your character react to temperature changes such as extreme heat and cold?

LANCE: Covers up or strips when necessary. Both irritate him, the hotter a little more irritating than the colder.

DEO: Tries to enjoy both, as he really can't do anything about it. The attic goes through the changes depending on the season after all. He tries to make the best of it (or a joke out of it).

KAINE/JACKAL:  Both irritate them mildy, but they choose to not to make a scene about it. It's not a big deal to them, just something they have to get through.

KYOKO: Makes the best out of both. After all, shaved ice and chilled watermelon taste better the hotter it is, and so does hot soup, the colder the weather.

FINO: Stays in a temperature-controlled room regardless. If he had to make a choice, though, he'd rather go for the colder. He doesn't like to sweat.

TRISTAN: Doesn't make a big deal out of it and adjusts.

SAM: Doesn't make a big deal out of it and adjusts. Looks for others who aren't adjusting as well and tries to help them.

30 Days of Character Development: 13.) What does your character’s bed look like when he/she wakes up? Are the covers off on one side of the bed, are they all curled around a pillow, sprawled everywhere? In what position might they sleep?

LANCE: His pillows are all over the bed and the floor, his covers kicked off, and he's probably sprawled on the bed in some random eagle position. He turns a lot, and is a messy sleeper.

DEO: Sleeps curled into fetal position while hugging a pillow, but eventually goes eagle. Kicks off his covers to a corner, but his pillows remain by his side.

KAINE/JACKAL:  Kaine sleeps with his body straight, and the covers still pulled up to his chest. Wakes up the same way. Jackal sleeps sideways, his arm under his head, his other arm over his cover, which is also pulled up to his chest. He wakes up the same way.

KYOKO: Sleeps in a fetal position, hugging a pillow and covered up until her head or no cover at all (depending on the season) and stays that way until she wakes up.

FINO: Same as Kaine. His bed remains tidy when he wakes up.

TRISTAN: Sleeps with legs spread wide, and arms bent at an angle above his head, like he's trying to fly. Isn't a very messy sleeper, but occasionally wakes up with the cover kicked to the side and his pillow on the floor.

SAM: Sleeps on his side, and remains unmoving.

30 Days of Character Development: 12.) How is your character with technology? Super savvy, or way behind the times? Letters or email?

LANCE: Updated, but is concerned mostly with function. Not really his line of interest, either. Email.

DEO: Like your average teen. Well-acquainted with the internet, understands most gadgets easily, basically technologically-literate. Email and letters.

KAINE/JACKAL:  Both prefer the 'old' stuff. They keep old computers. Rarely uses them. Rarely goes online. Most of their exposure to technology lie in cellphone use and gun use, for their job. Text-messaging, or emailing through phone.

KYOKO: Similar to Lance. 

FINO: Not interested. Rarely uses his cellphone, which makes him hard to reach. He doesn't have an email address.

TRISTAN: Adept with the technology of his time. He is well-researched and is currently studying to be an animal breeder. 

SAM: While he's 'updated', he's really technologically-illiterate. It confuses him. He uses only technology when needed.

LANCE: Russian blue

TRISTAN: An omega wolf. He is always desperately seeking to belong where he thinks he should belong, all the while aware why he doesn't.

LANCE: Francis leaving him out of his band when they were younger. That crushed him and inevitably made him anxious about playing the drums.

DEO: His mother's death.

KAINE/JACKAL: Jackal's death/Vigil Island

KYOKO: Finding out she was pregnant.

FINO: Seeing a mangled (but still barely alive) animal for the first time

TRISTAN: Meeting Cas

SAM: ... the date-rape incident.

LANCE: Clinging onto the idea of Francis too tightly.

DEO: His mother dying.

KAINE/JACKAL: Kaine/Jackal: real!Jackal's death.

KYOKO: Nothing! She takes everything as they come. (^o^)

FINO: He 'erases' the memory as soon as he finds it irrelevant.

TRISTAN: Cas getting sick.

SAM: His first love.

LANCE: Making his first real friend (Francis).

DEO: His first Christmas with his uncle in the Philippines.

KAINE/JACKAL: 

Kaine's is the first time Jackal came home from college, which was also the first time he met his brother face-to-face. Jackal slept on a mat next to his bed and talked to him until it was morning - the longest Kaine ever talked to anyone.

Jackal's was Kay.

KYOKO: Holding Kaiya for the first time.

FINO: He can't classify anything as 'happy'.

TRISTAN: (Although he forgot,) Sherry's goodbye.

SAM: When he was told 'I love you' for the first time. (Unfortunately, what happened after ended up his worst memory.)

LANCE: He only cares about his appearance when he's with Sora.

DEO: Deo has a healthy amount of self-confidence when it comes to his appearance and often makes jokes about it. This is because he had always been told that he took after his mother.

KAINE/JACKAL: Kaine doesn't really care and only wants to follow required office protocol. Jackal is confident about his physical appearance [Kaine's] and finds himself [Kaine] attractive.

KYOKO: She has a healthy amount of vanity and makes herself up when appropriate. She thinks she's ok - not too pretty, not too ugly. It's her age that bothers her, but only slightly.

FINO: He doesn't think he's attractive. Really, he just wants to be clean.

TRISTAN: Extremely insecure about his appearance and wants to look different - more buff and manly. He secretly works out, although genetics really gets in his way.

SAM: Extremely insecure about his appearance and goes a long way to look "nice". He follows a strict diet, works out constantly, showers and makes himself up carefully, and makes sure that his hair is in place. He is aware of his normal looks, which is why he is careful to be at his best, always.

30 Days of Character Development: 3.) Name one scar your character has, and tell us where it came from. If they don’t have any, is there a reason?

LANCE: None; he's too careful.

DEO: A small one his knee, which he got from tripping, and around his wrists from being tied up.

KAINE/JACKAL: All over his body, a product of required physical training.

KYOKO: None; she has good balance and control and rarely falls.

FINO: None; he doesn't like roughplay.

TRISTAN: Neck, from a wound that almost killed him. His stepmother went into his room to kill him by slashing his throat. Cas came in time to see what had happened and managed to get Tristan to a healing center. Tristan was saved, and Cas gave him some of his blood. However, he was rendered mute.

SAM: None; he's careful to keep his skin unblemished.

30 Days of Character Development: 2.) What are your characters most prominent physical features?

LANCE: an irritated look on his face

DEO: tattoo covering most of his right arm

KAINE/JACKAL: sunglasses and height (7" iirc)

KYOKO: her smile 

FINO: hairstyle (mohawk)

TRISTAN: blank expression and height

SAM: overbite

30 Days of Character Development: 1.) Describe your character’s relationship with their mother or their father, or both. Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no?

LANCE:

Lance respects his parents, and the way he acts around them reflects that. His family is quiet and serious but loving. He follows his parents' advice all the time, as he appreciates the fact that his father allowed him to do music, even though it's not a 'secure living'. He shares his father's beliefs and philosophies, and that's why he decided to quit music to pursue a career.

DEO:

Loved his mother, but her death brought the household down. His father became a drunkard, and molested young Deo - passing on to him the HIV virus. Even before he died, he couldn't forgive him.

KAINE/JACKAL:

For Kaine, respect similar to an employee to his boss. For Jackal, respect as a father - but he disobeyed him now and then.

KYOKO:

Kyoko had a normal childhood, until she got pregnant. Afraid of facing her parents, she decided to leave the house and look for work in the city, not knowing that they wanted her to stay. Prior to her death, she reconciled with them, and promised to go home.

FINO:

He barely saw his parents as a child, and felt nothing particular about them.

TRISTAN:

Loved his father, and respected him. Held resentment for his mother for having a weak body, and passing the genes onto him. His stepmother hated him for being the 'priority' son, and tried to kill him, but failed. Her attempt, however, resulted to him losing his ability to speak.

SAM:

He was very close to his mother since his father was busy with work when he was younger. His mother, who was a romantic at heart, made Sam love fairytales and the idea of once upon a time and happily ever after. 

Growing up, Sam's relationship with his parents was normal. He dealt and interacted with them as he did with people in school - he tried to be a good son (the perfect son, the ideal man his mother kept telling him to be). Until the day he found out that his mother was cheating on his dad. His mother told him that his dad wasn't the 'prince' she was waiting for, and filed for a separation. His dad, tired, told Sam that a lot of her 'princes' had come before and he didn't want to deal with this again.

Nearing the RP time, he felt hurt and betrayed by his mother, although he tried to keep things as they were.
