“I worked in the restaurant all summer. I just take my holidays when I can. You don’t enjoy having a long break?” she asked the girl.
“But that’s nice in some ways, you have the option of cheap holidays. We have to go when the kids are off.” She laughed gently. “I’d rather just have long weekends.”
“it’s been a week back at work and honestly, it’s like summer never happened.” She sighed. “I should think about a chance in career.”

Holden looked down at his coffee, letting out a small sigh. “Summer has gone fast, huh? Back to work I go.” He laughed slightly. “I’ve got my new backpack, some colourful pens. My new school shoes,” he joked.
“You newbies are so cute.” Annie smiled, walking towards the english teacher. “And what snazzy shoes they are. I’ve always been fond of brown leather.”

Veronica was in a rush. She had over-slept by a landslide, skipped breakfast and practically ran to her campus. Unfornately for her, she wasn’t looking where she was going, bumped into someone and fell. With a thud.
“Jesus, really?” She shouted.
She then looked up at the other person and replied. “I’m sorry, I’m mad at myself, not at you.”
Jasper rubbed his head, sniffing the air subtly to try and figure out what was going on. “Uh... well i’m glad about that cause I was the one looking where I was going.”
