While there, my resolve to do everything in my power to help only strengthened, and I came back wanting to check in on a few of the campaigns I had adopted. To my disappointment, a couple of them were frozen or reported, even though they had been tirelessly vetted and verified.
The worst part is that there are talks of a temporary ceasefire happening again, with the Rafah border crossing opening once more, and my friend Fidaa fears that after all of the hard work, she might not be able to get her two young children (a toddler and a baby) out. She is their sole provider right now.
So we have set up a temporary fundraiser for her on Chuffed, while we work to get her funds unsuspended (if we can). We have to act fast. Please know that two things are true: giving even a very small amount helps, and if you are unable to right now, spreading this campaign and getting more eyes on it helps.
The goal is $15,000 USD. We're starting this off at $285. Please help me get eyes on this.

We are a small family consisting of 3 members. We lived a beautiful life. I worked as a lawyer and my husband worked in programming. We lived in peace and security before October 7, but since that time we have not lived a single fine day. We were in our house at the beginning of the war, but We have Ahtaho Khan Yunis. We were the first people to leave. There was artillery shelling over our heads. Many died before our eyes. We escaped death and ran away more than 7 times while we were in Rafah and made tents.. Now we are in a tent after we were living a good life and we have a beautiful house. But unfortunately, the occupation has destroyed it. We are dying every second and every minute. If it is not from the occupation, then it is from living in a tent made of nylon in this extreme heat, or from the high prices through which we are unable to buy the simplest necessities of life. My child is exposed to many diseases and gets very tired. I appeal to those with good hearts to look at our situation, how we were and how we have become
I hope you see my account and see what we are suffering from, a new displacement and new tents. We are now sleeping in the street, me and my little child. He is suffering a lot. I don't know what awaits us. Our situation is very bad and difficult. It is truly tragic. I hope you help us with your donations, even if they are small. Don't forget us. We are in a difficult situation and my little child cannot bear it. I wish I had given him a better life than this, but he is not well now. He cannot enjoy his life or play like other children. I’m sick to death of hearing “see! Accessibility benefits everyone, not just disabled people/mobility aid users/chronically ill people/etc!!” That shouldn’t matter. Even if the only people in the world that would benefit from an accommodation are disabled people, we still deserve it. I’m sick of non-disabled people constantly being centred and catered to with accessibility content. Every time someone makes an add-on to a post about an accessibility device or whatever, it just feels like they’re saying that our needs aren’t enough to warrant accommodations, it has to benefit non-disabled people too. We deserve accommodations no matter if non-disabled people can benefit from it.
