Process ✨
I kept changing my mind about the background 😩
Wrathion but in Hades-like style ✨ --- After seeing Hades 2 was announced I was just consumed by fascination with the first game's art style and wanted to give it a try while adjusting the outfit design to better fit with it. Ended up deviating a lot in the end but it was a fun exercise.

This took about 25 hours to do because I obsessed over armor pieces...
Melancholy 🌷 --- After that short story with Wrathion that released on Warcraft website as a lead in to Dragonflight I just kept thinking about him yearning for something (home) he never had
Fun fact: azalea flowers can symbolize a sense of longing for home

I was just consumed with this idea of Wrathion seeing the Dragon Isles for the first time so I had to frantically sketch it. And a giant disclaimer: I know 0 things about the start of the expansion so this can easily be all wrong.
