Survey Results

The Games have been over for a while now (feels weird, so weird), and if you remember the survey we put out at the very end and reblogged here a few times, we didn’t forget about it! Actually, we’ve spent the past few days collecting numbers, averaging them, and posting any comments we received on the survey in a dedicated channel in the mod chat for everyone to chat about. 

Transparency is of the utmost importance, and in the interest of that, here are the average results from the Matsu Games Survey. They’re posted in order, individually, by team.

Things we are currently looking at right now are ways to tighten the rules for the comfort of everyone within the server. For example, modifying the age range for teams, making sure rules are better enforced, announcing challenges earlier so people don’t worry over staying awake too late, and having deadlines extended are subjects we’ve all talked about!

Calling all gamers!

Yeah, ok, that was pretty cheesy. It’s Mod Kara again, with more info!

If you participated (or followed along with) the Matsu Games ( @matsugames) you may know me as Vice Lead Beauty Karamatsu OR Vice Lead Tinker Ichi, we’re the same people haha! 

You might also know that Team Jyushimatsu pulled a complete 180 in the games and produced a cool simulator game that won challenge 7 of the games!

Well, a lot of the members who worked on it had ideas that we didn’t have time to include or finish, so we decided to create a version 2 of the game. So we’re going to create a Version 2, and we’re opening up project work to the public! While we have written all the new routes that I’ll be able to code for it, we do have room for art from anyone who’d like to contribute! 

There were a couple other teams that made really cool games, and I thought it would be fun to make a Discord server so that we could all work on games together - whether it be just a little or a lot!

As of tonight, the Matsu Games hub discord has officially been archived, and with that comes the full conclusion of the games. What we mean by archived is, the server is up and will remain up, but nobody is allowed to talk. Your memories are preserved! 

Thank you again to everyone who participated! It was a trial for all of us, but in the end I’m really happy with the community that came together, and I’m really hoping to see a lot of you next games! 

Keep following this blog for more info on that when it happens, though it’ll definitely be a bit. Game Masters have lots of planning to do to make sure next time is even better! (And smoother)

We’re just finishing up our closing ceremony, thank you so much to everyone who showed up! For those who couldn’t….It was super sappy! We’ll be posting more final stuff and maybe some word on what’s happening with servers, blogs, etc soon. But for now…I’ll give you guys here the scores, with art drawn by our very own Devi Kara!

Matsu Games Final Survey

hey, team leader ichimatsu here. thank-you all for participating in the inital run for the Matsu Games, and thank you so so much for all the well wishes and congratulations in the hub on the final day. there’s only one more thing we want to know: did all of our participants enjoy themselves, and if you’re willing, could you please fill out a short feedback form so we know what to do better next time?

To all the Lemondrops who participated in the Matsugames... Thank you! Words cannot describe how proud I am to see that we pulled this off! We’ve been through some tough situations but seeing you guys push through it all really brightened the experience for me. To those who stuck around ‘till the end, I want to say that you guys kicked some major butt! That Season 2 challenge was hilarious and perfect and ahh!! (And we did GREAT on the last challenge too!)

To the Vice Leaders, Fhu (Hijirasawa) and Spicy (Tinker)... God I am so grateful especially to you guys. You worked your butts off despite illness and deep frustrations, you two deserve so much of an applause. Without you guys, I don’t think I would’ve been able to make it to the end. Thank you!

I really hope at least a few of us stay in contact after all we’ve been through. It’ll be strange not having to wake up and check Discord everyday to check on everyone. I’ll still be around in the oso-san-artchallenge server though (hope I’ll see you there!). But until we eventually leave the Jyushi server, change our nicknames, and switch our icons, I want you guys to know that you’re all my favorite Lemondrops!
