I’ve been gone for a while. It sort of sucks that its come to this but lately I haven’t had the motivation or time to write. I really do want to come back because it was so much fun but with only two days to do this, I don’t know if it would feasible or fair to any partners I would write with. 

I’ve been tempted to come back due to a few people reaching out. I love that so much, that even though I’ve been gone for so long, you’re still willing to roleplay with me. The thing is, and this is through nobody’s fault, aside from some friends I could count on one hand, I don’t get many interactions. Most things I send fall on deft ears and I’m afraid that if I do come back, that I will be putting time and energy into something that, in the end, won’t matter because all of these muses will be as they are right now: sitting on a shelf and collecting dust. 

Believe me, I would love to come back but I am conflicted. I just don’t know if it would be worth it. I might need some convincing otherwise.

Still Alive

Just started my new job this month so that’s taken up a lot of my time with studying and training. 

I want to come back but I’m not sure about motivation right now. I miss my muses and everyone else’s don’t get me wrong. Hopefully I can get the bug again and start either putting out starters or FINALLY responding to some of those threads.

“Ahem. Uh…if they were sober that’s great. I’m kind of low energy too, if they were high energy or somewhere between, it might keep us both from spiraling into a massive pit of despair.”

Violet scribbles down those last few notes and clicks her pen. “Alright! That about does it for the major questions. Did you have anything else you want to add or give a detail out there to the crowd watching at home?”

He looks at the camera directly and points at it.

“Krystal, my team leader, I know you nominated me for this and I just wanted to let you know...paybacks a bitch. ...That’s all.”

Violet waves off the concern. “Oh, that’s alright. Hey, it had to happen somewhere right? And let me just say we at Looking for Love are proud to give you a platform to express yourself. So let’s move on to the rest. We have clean and outspoken in the must category, alright…”

“Now for the fun part- the wishlist. These things aren’t mandatory but things you’d think would be nice to have in a partner.”

A rabbit faunus with a long, white braid looked up from her book and stopped herself, just in time to stop herself from crashing into someone. She wore a teal cloak with a white trim over a short, sky-blue dress styled to resemble a hanfu. She also wore a pair of white short-shorts underneath her combat dress.

“Oh my, have we met before?” She asked in a soft, dreamy voice. “I’m Mao Shuoyue, it’s very nice to meet you.”

Beryl took note of her ears, which were currently tickling his chin and followed them down to the young lady in front of him. Another ally for him to look after, she looked to be a student after all. It was a never-ending job that he’d given himself. 

“I don’t believe so. Its a pleasure. Beryl Bemidji. You’re a student, right?”

“Yes, I’m a first-year student, and–” Shuoyue paused when she felt something brush against the tips of her ears. So, she took a step back to get a better look at the person she bumped into. He was certainly handsome, but she had her Darling, and she was a one man sort of girl. “Oh my, were you always that tall?”

“No, actually I started out really little about twenty years ago,” he teased, “I’ve been getting bigger gradually til about now. Weird isn’t it?”

He’d gotten plenty of attention because of his height. It came in pretty handy when his team got lost in a crowd, though. A first-year was always a pleasure to meet. They hadn’t had the chance to make assumptions about the school just yet and thus, he could help them by steering them away from the several traps that lie in wait for Faunus.

“I’m glad I...well you ran into me, but I try to meet all the Faunus on campus so that we can be a support system for each other here. Some of the students here aren’t exactly the most welcoming.”

“If it makes sense, I wouldn’t want my partner to have everything in common with me. I’m not attracted to most of punks in my circles and I’m already really short so being taller than me is a must.”

“….There’s one more thing………oh [censored] it! They got to be a guy cuz I’m gay.”

“…Guess that narrows the list down a bit. Don’t it?”

Violet blinks a few times at the bleeps. “When did we hire an editor?”

“Anyway, yeah, we have tall boys, patient, big into music, and the usual huntsmen occupational hazards. ALrighty! Next step is narrowing down the field further. What are your absolute deal breakers? What can absolutely not be in your ideal partner?”
