Hello hello helloooo!

Welcome to the Team Neutral cove! A blog all about posting about Silver, Shadow, Rouge, and Espio because the creator has a probably unhealthy obsession with them. And made a whole fanmade team for them cause why nottttt.

While other teams and dynamics can be shown here, this blogs attention is strictly going to be on these core four and team.

As well as going to be primarily about the creators own personal AUs and headcanons, but others headcanons and AUs can be featured if creator chooses to allow it. Don’t spam ask for it tho.

Rules are pretty straight forward. Just follow them and there won’t be an issue.

1. As stated, this blogs focus is on these core four and the team. While other teams, characters, dynamics, and such can be featured. It is never to overshadow the main focus. Which means canon teams and dynamics like Team Dark or Team Chaotix may not be featured here often. You may request such things if you like, but it will always be up to the creator in the end what is posted and showcased on the blog.

2. Shipping requests is 100% okay! Popular pairs, rare pairs, rare ships, crack ships, or more! Go wild! The creator loves to find new and wacky pairings with these core four! Just keep in mind that the creator has boundaries, and can ultimately deny and turn down ships that make them uncomfortable. Please be respectful and mindful of other people as well! Not every ship is everyone’s cup of tea, and that is a-okay!

3. Adding onto the shipping rule but also applying to dynamics. Please do not try to force shipping or dynamics. It is 100% okay to prefer certain dynamics and ships to others, but please do not try to push for it. The creator will turn off anon if they feel too much of this is happening.

4. As stated before, this blog is primarily based on the creators own AUs and headcanons. Therefore a majority of this blog will most likely be ‼️NOT Canon friendly‼️. So PLEASE keep that in mind when interacting with this blog. And don’t try to force canon or anything onto the creator.

5. Suggestive stuff is fine, but keep it to a level. While the creator is asexual and doesn’t really care about that stuff. They are aware that other people do and ask those to keep such things to a minimum level. (Simping or showing affection towards characters is allowed. But keep it to a level or else I’ll get the spray bottle.)

6. Be respectful to the creator and anyone else interacting with the blog. As well as be respectful towards the characters as well. (I understand we like calling our favorite characters pathetic in an affectionate way. But there is a level it can be reached that I will not allow.)

7. Any sort of bigotry, discrimination, slurs, hate speech, mocking of sensitive topics, threats, ect won’t be allowed. Not even for jokes, so don’t try it. Behave or anon will be turned off.

8. If you ever have any questions just ask the creator! Please be patient with replies, as the creator can be busy and forget at times.

I feel like Silver would at the same time help Shadow, Rouge, and Espio to be better. But also make them worse in a way.

I don’t know how to exactly explain it.

Cause like he would help them with opening up and handling their feelings. And all that good stuff.

But then he’s also encouraging them to murder people so…

I can imagine that after they are established as a team, Silver would suggest a sleepover to celebrate. With Shadow, Rouge, and Espio being a little confused but end up agreeing to it.

He then learns quickly that the three have never had a sleepover before. Which leads to Silver wanting to make this go as smoothly as possible.

They end up having their very first sleepover at Silvers garden. Because they don’t have their shared home yet.

They dress up in pajamas and have a great time spending time with one another in Silvers little place.

Ordering food and playing games with one another, drawing pictures, and falling asleep in a mess of pillows and blankets.

Silver considers it a success, and they end up having at least one sleepover every month.

Kit and Surge end up being able to tag along eventually as well, but that’s another thing to discuss.

Hear me out, Cream teaches Silver how to make flower crowns. So Silver goes and makes flower crowns for Shadow, Rouge, and Espio.

He specifically makes them with flowers that remind him of them.

The three lie and act like they aren’t interested.

But they end up treasuring those flower crowns, holding onto them so dearly. That even after the flowers are brittle and long dead. They still have those flower crowns.

Even if they were to become nothing but dust, they would still hold onto it in a little pouch.

Because that’s how much it meant to them.

I can imagine a scene of after a dangerous mission, Shadow, Rouge, and Espio end up getting injured.

It’s now after that, Silver is sitting with the three of them in the HQ infirmary, alone.

As he was the only one that was able to get them to sit down and let him treat them. Everyone else would retreat after they insisted they were fine, Silver didn’t and kept pushing because he knew they needed to be treated.

He’s now sitting on the bed wrapping up each of their injuries with some bandages. While having a very familiar conversation they have had before.

But like before, only Silvers voice is heard.

“I understand you guys don’t like being fussed over, but you need to let someone else treat you when I’m not here.”

“….”

“I can’t be here every time you guys get injured, and I don’t want it to be that you won’t be treated unless I am here. Or else you’re just staying silent while in pain.”

“….”

“Can you let maybe Amy treat you? She cares about you guys as well. Just as much as me, she really worries about you.”

“….”

“You guys won’t answer, I know that by now. But I really do care about you. I just don’t want there to be a time where I can’t be here, and you just suffer in silence like before.”

“….”

“Just…think about it, okay? I know you guys do.”

The infirmary stays silent after that, with only the sound of soft bandaging being heard. With no more words being spoken from Silver.

Is how I’d basically sum up the basic relationship between the two trios.

Silver, Sonic, and Amy are a bit of a parallel trio to Shadow, Rouge, and Espio.

As in the parallels mostly being:

Silver -> Shadow

Sonic -> Espio

Amy -> Rouge

And I know maybe people would ask why Silver is a parallel to Shadow and not Sonic. It’s just cause I see more similarities between Shadow and Silver.

Not to say that Shadow and Sonic don’t have parallels too. It’s just there are some really interesting parallels between Shadow and Silver that I want to explore more.

Drifting away from Team Neutral just tiny a bit to show off someone who is also important to the AU.

Maria Robotnik herself!

Maria is in a little bit of a gray area when it comes to the overall story. Being primarily just an observer but still being extremely important. And she could always step beyond that role, especially regarding her relationship with Silver.

Other things to note that are not on the card:

Maria is not the only ghost in the story. While I can’t really say how many ghosts there are at this time. I can at least confirm that Tikal is one with her. As Tikal is a ghost in canon and it would probably be safe to confirm she is there and interacting with Maria.

Ghosts in my AU are timeless beings, they can travel and exist anyplace in time. And are allowed freely to roam the world, just have to follow some strict rules. One of those being they can’t travel back in time to prevent their deaths.

Maria isn’t cursed or being forced to stay and observe, she chose herself to come back down to the world as a ghost. Maria’s goal and overall want is for Shadow to learn to be his own person and move on from the past. With her only going to reveal her presence to him once she feels he has done that.

Silver knows Maria is the friend Shadow lost all those years ago, with Maria directly telling him this. Him knowing of Maria’s presence and not telling Shadow is because Maria asked him not to. But to say it doesn’t make his friendship with Shadow a bit awkward is an understatement.

There are other things to say about Maria and especially about her relationship with Silver. But I think I’ll keep that for another day.

Oh and here’s an alternate version of the card just without the blue tint overlay I put on Maria:

Espio and Rouge once broke the HQ dishwasher, and they both hide it until they were confronted about it.

They then took turns blaming each other on “who actually broke it”. To the point no one could even understand what they were saying.

It’s now repaired, but they still are fighting on who exactly broke it.

With the rest of the HQ still confused on how it even broke in the first place.

Being a hundred percent clear here, I’ve always considered Silver to be the more caring and even protective person of Team Neutral.

I know a lot of people usually give that role to Rouge and even Shadow, but I dunno I’ve always seen Silver to be more likely to be a “Mama bear” person.

Just the idea of Silver acting very caring and loving towards the three is so cute to me.

He checks in with them to make sure they are doing okay, makes sure they are eating good, helps them if they need it.

Can he go a bit overboard? Yeah. But I think he’d try his best to respect their boundaries and not push beyond them.

Long time no see! I offer some sleepy Team Neutral doodles in my sketchbook.

A detail with the initial cuddle pile drawing is that each member is cuddling with a part of Silver. But it ended being kinda covered up a lot. So I drew small little drawings showcasing it more clearly on the side.

Shadow is cuddling Silvers chest, Rouge is cuddling his hand, and Espio is cuddling in his long fluffy quills.

Along with a doodle of sleepy Silver and some stray eepy Shadow, Rouge, and Espio doodles.

With a small appearance from Chiffon. But you can ignore them lol

I just love drawing Shadow, Rouge, and Espio being a bit more vulnerable. Especially when they are characters who aren’t really vulnerable a lot. It’s calming in a way.

I’d imagine them gossiping about certain topics from time to time. Probably also talk about Espio and Shadow as well.

In the Team Neutral AU, the birthdays of Shadow, Rouge, and Espio are pretty much unknown. Simply because the group hasn’t told anyone when their birthdays are.

Espio and Rouge don’t like to be reminded of their ages. Shadow probably doesn’t remember and wouldn’t want to.

Because of this, Silver decided to pick a day to celebrate all their birthdays all together.

He started the tradition with surprising them with a small surprise party. Which caught them off guard, but they actually had a good time with it.

I also imagine Surge and Kit being added as well. Because of them probably not having birthdays.

Silver also when planning the party told Vector and Charmy about it, which they helped with it and surprised Espio with gifts.

He also told Omega who helped too.

It’s now a yearly event and they all enjoy it when it comes around.
