Blab exists because there’s a community within it. You’ve all made Blab possible. A communication platform would really suck if there was no one to communicate with.
We want you to stay in the loop, see the changes we’ve made, and give us feedback on these new things.
Blab looks a little different now. We’ll explain a few of the changes so you’re not lost in your own home.
On/Off the record (recording feature!)
Live tweets on the side of your Blab.
Home screen is split up into categories.
There’s a big follow button on your video square.
Images/gifs now display in chat!
Goodbye triangle, hellooooo feels!
You now request to jump in the Blab, which gives the host more call control. You can choose who can jump in!
Let the record show that the request to record Blabs has been made by the community. We have delivered that request.
Record your Blab & post it on your website/blog or YouTube (or get audio only for a podcast!!!) What?! That’s crazy!?!
1) You can start a recording.
2) You can also toggle the recording “on/off the record!”
3) Recording up to 6 hours!
4) When the blab is over you will get an email with the audio mp3, video mp4 and embed links!
3. Live tweets on the side of your Blab.
We no longer choose how you tweet out your Blab. We’re a product built for human communication, not robots! You can edit your tweet and people in the Blab can see your tweet live on the left hand side of the Blab!
The left hand side? That’s right. We’ve moved comments over to the right. We don’t want you getting lost.
4. Home screen is split into categories.
We’re starting with two categories, with more to come.
For startups, bitcoin, geek talk etc.
We don’t want to limit how you use Blab. Right now the tech community has grown large enough we saw need to let it live in its own world 🙌.

We want Blabbers to be able to build their audience within Blab.
One of the biggest advantages to using Blab has is the in house community of insightful people. We want to help you build an audience, so when you’re live on Blab viewers will be able to easily follow you!

Sometimes the only way to respond to a moment is a reaction gif. We understand, and we agree. Just drop in a URL of an image, and you’ll see it in the chat.
Oh… we also added /giphy integration for those of you who know what that means…
Goodbye triangle, hellooooo feels!
A place holder triangle slightly resembling an icon you would use to upvote content on reddit has now been retired. You can let people 🙌 (feels) what you’re saying. Hovering over a video will display a feels icon and you can tap anywhere on the video to show your respect.
You know, if you’re feeling what someone’s saying. Maybe you agree with them, maybe they are being funny, or maybe you just like their face.
