In Loving Memory of Naya Rivera
I've been trying to find the right words to say these past days but I don't know if I can do this on a post that can really show the love I have for this beautiful woman and the impact that she had on my life and in countless others.
Some of you may have have known me from my Glee days where my blog was literally all about Glee/Santana/Brittany relationship and Naya who portrayed her character beautifully.
Naya's character in Glee was absolutely groundbreaking, one of the most influential and such an important representation in the LGBTQ+ community at the time where it was not as accepted as it is now, she advocated and shaped an entire mindset of acceptance helping thousands, including me.
Thanks to Naya and her portrayal, I found myself, I loved/accepted who I was, I came out, I grew my confidence and strong personality because of her, I found my soulmate because of her, my first tattoo was because of her, our cat Snix is named after her.
I will always be eternally grateful for Naya.
Naya's personality radiated joy even from behind a camera, she gave life to Santana, she was an outspoken confident woman which spoke out on important issues, she was a leader, our leader, my rolemodel. What I can only take with me throughout this heartbreak is the joy/the laughs, the music and so many memories she gave us all throughout our teenage years, I know that if Naya/Santana impacted and helped your lives positively, Naya would be happy and proud of that, and of you.
Thank you Naya Rivera, for all that you have done for us, we will never forget you. You will always be remembered in our hearts.
Like never before. 🖤
