Caramel in Hogwarts Legacy🍎
Starting this with a disclaimer: I do not like JK Rowling. She is a bad person with harmful politics and stereotype filled writing.
However... I am a sucker for semi open world linear games with character creation, battle/magic systems, and modding capabilities. I did not pay for this game as it was in my Steam Family, and honestly the photography system is pretty good...
My team pins and keychains all together :D I'm still very happy about Ruly and Lyra and how they came out!
My OC Keychains from Wooacry (not sponsored lol) came in and they're so cute and perfect! I drew them all myself hehe!
I was really worried Lyra and Ruly would end up looking washed out, pale, etc cuz I've heard horror stories of brown and black characters being made to look odd by some manufacturers. But! These colors are so rich and pretty and perfectly match my art!

Caramel dating Bruce, and both of them lowkey hate it. Of course, Bruce is a good doting boyfriend, and Caramel does her best to be a good girlfriend, but both of them know they don't belong together. Being rich doesn’t make them compatible at all.

Caramel and Bruce obviously stay friends, but they so SOOOO much happier with other people. Specifically Lyra and Selina lolol
Caramel: Struggling with Imposter Syndrome and extreme trauma being assaulted/witnessing her fathers death, forced to run her families completely at only 16.
Lyra: Being manipulated and groomed by Adam, feeling guilty about not only her Faunus status but also her association with White Fang.
Kris: A transman AND the Spring Maiden, stuck in a role that is incredibly gender dysphoric.
Ruly: Has a completely normal relationship with his girlfriend and no major trauma.

I don't think I would ever be able to ramble about everyone at once... my AU is almost 20+ characters and a prequel to the actual RWBY story... there's just so many discord rants and RP snippets! But I'll drip feed you Caramel lore since she's my favorite and more traumatized! Massive TW for sexual assult and murder!
Caramel Caramine was born in Atlas to Gala Caramine and Caldor Chartreuse!
Gala was the CEO of The Caramine Company, a company that specialized in the production of apples and export of Dust! The CC was NOT responsible for mining Dust, rather they simply sold and shipped Dust to and from other companies. The CC was also matriarchal, with all Caramine children being female and the company staying within the family.
Caldor was the co owner of a small silver-smithing shop in Atlas with his older sister, Narcissisa, before marrying into the Caramine family and taking Gala's last name. He is shrewd and only married her, thinking he would immediately gain access to the CC and its money. The only family Caramel is allowed to interact with his Narcissisa and her three daughters, and Caramel has never met the Caramine side of her family.
Unfortunately, Gala had leukemia and passed away (however it's unclear if it was from natural causes, some people suspect foul play) shortly after giving birth to Caramel. Because Caramel was an infant, Caldor did indeed gain full control over the CC, shifting its business from ethical apple farming and Dust distribution to Faunus exploitation and Dust mining using illegal Faunus labor.
Caldor neglected and abused Caramel, using her as a sort of trophy daughter and bargaining chip during business deals. Her looks made her... 'popular' amongst Caldor's, much older friends, and eventually, one got high during one of Caldor's many drug filled parties, followed her to her room, and took advantage of her. She's incredibly paranoid and anxious about her trauma and, for the most part, avoids any all forms of physical relationships. Except... Caldor wants Caramel to find a 'male heir' to the CC.
He sends Caramel to Beacon not to study but to find a husband. She had 0 skills that would gain her access to Beacon on her own merit, no battle skills or education beyond advanced chemistry related to her Hemokenisis, and thus Caldor bribed the previous headmaster. However, by the time Caramel got to Beacon, the previous headmaster was replaced by Ozpin. Ozpin lets Caramel stay and even advocates for her to be a team captain despite her lackluster fighting skills/Semblance control. Witnessing Caldor slap Caramel after an argument, Ozpin assures her he let her stay for a good reason. He's slowly manipulating her in ways she doesn’t understand, especially since he's the only 'safe' male figure in her life.
At first she has 0 friends, and even her own teammates didn't like her much. She didn't recognize Kris, Ruly was indifferent, and Lyra outright saw her as a snotty obnoxious brat due to her princess-y attitude mask. However, she becomes closer to them and even becomes friends with STRQ and JSTC (Justice, Clark Kent, Diana Prince, Barry Allen, and Bruce Wayne, loosely based on the JL × RWBY movies, they’re an Atlas based team)
During a school trip to Atlas, Teams CRKL, STRQ, and JSTC visits one of the Caramine Company mines, and they get caught in a cave in that kills Lyra's brother, Ezhdar. Lyra manages to convince Caldor to host an event to address the situation to the public. However, Lyra is Adam's right hand snake girl and a high-ranking member of White Fang, and they plan to use the event to showcase the injustice Faunus face. Except... during the event, Adam assassinates Caldor in front of the world, with Lyra preventing Caramel from even trying to save her father. Lyra had no clue Adam would go that far, beheading Caldor and leaving Caramel to cradle her fathers head until Ironwood steps in.
Caramel is also madly in love with Lyra. Despite them literally being opposites and Lyra aiding in the murder of Caldor, Caramel can't stop herself from loving Lyra. However, Lyra is bisexual and is an on/off relationship with Qrow, and Caramel has convinced herself she has to be with a man and is dating Bruce. Bruce knows Caramel is unhappy and is perfectly chill with his girlfriend making out with Lyra so long as he gets to make out with Qrow. (Confusing polycule? Kinda? 3 bisexuals and a closeted lesbian, all friends).
Caramel Caramine is my baby girl beloved, and she has SOOOOO much more lore, but the RP she's from is with a friend (the friend owns Lyra, this whole AU is shared with my buddy) and the rp is only half a year into Year 1 and its planned to last all the way through Beacon and time skip to when RWBY exists in normal canon!!!

The green haired glasses boy is Kristian 'Kris' Evergreen! He's a trans man attending Beacon, and Caramel Caramine's childhood best friend!
He is a greatsword user from Atlas with the Semblance 'Dust Manipulation'. He can directly control Dust without the use of tools or weaponry! His role on Team CRKL is Damage Dealer/Tank!
When he transitioned to male from female (around age 10), his family didn't accept him. So he set his sights on Beacon and becoming a Huntsman! Pre transition, he was one of Caramels only friends, but post transition, it took months before Caramel even realized Kristian and Kris were the same person.
He is the Spring Maiden! He was related to the previous Spring Maiden, who was aging and could no longer protect the magic. So he is now the Spring 'Wizard' (gender affirming term he coined).
He's also Aro Ace! He is super platonicly close with Ruly, Tai, and Barry! Being trans and having autism leaves him feeling happier with his books and facts. He's very much based on my own experiences, lol.
