Rescue Friends!
Weād Love to Help With Your Next Fundraiser!
At Team Fido, we donate fun gift baskets like the one above, put together for Mardi Paws at Adopt-a-Pet Fenton, to rescues for raffles, auctions, and eventsābecause great dogs deserve great treats and great support.
Weāll also create a custom coupon code for your rescue. Every time someone orders an ice cream kit using your code, your rescue receives $2. Easy, fun, and it keeps helping long after the event ends.
No pressure to buy anything, just help us grow so we can help more dogs stay with the families who love them.
Message us or email ([email protected]) anytime to set up your fundraiser basket!

Don't care didn't ask plus here's a beautifully animated ad for a French supermarket that was made by actual artists
Team Fido is a self-funded 501(c)(3) nonprofit formed to help keep dogs in their homes and out of shelters by working with rescues to provide funds for food, medical care, and all the etc that goes along with dogs ownership

Why āon-leash hellosā arenāt as friendly as they look
Letting dogs greet nose-to-nose on a leash may seem polite⦠but for dogs, itās actually unnatural.
When dogs are face-to-face and leashed:
- They canāt move naturally and canāt choose space or escape
- Leashes can tangle and trigger panic, which may instigate a fight, causing possible injury to dogs and humans.
-Small moments (hard eye contact, a wee growl, a little nip) can turn into big reactions and over time, creates reactivity.
Your dog starts to think:
Will I get to say hi?
What if I donāt?
What if this dog is scary?
They might be fun!
That internal conflict builds frustration, excitement, or fear ā and eventually shows up as barking, lunging, anxiety, or even redirection, with your dog going after your leg on walks, leaving you part of the crowd that feels a little apprehension or perhaps downright fear, looking for a way to escape an approaching dog.
A better option:
Instead of leash greetings, give your dog a social circle.
Choose one or two dog friends they truly enjoy and schedule off-leash playdates where they can move freely and communicate naturally.
Make it a rule: no on-leash greetings.
Seeing another dog should mean just that: seeing another dog.
No pressure. No interaction. No expectation. It can take a while to get there, but the peace is so well earned.
But saying no can feel awkward. Just remember your dogās emotional and physical health comes first.
