Don't worry, we aren't dangerous or evil or anything of the sort. We're just researchers.
Welcome to our page. Here, we're going to document our travels around the globe. In a nutshell, we travel around the world studying myths and legends surrounding Pokémon, especially those with little to no data, so we can help the world know more about them and, in some cases, prove they're not just some ghost story made to scare children.
In other words, we're a group of wannabe cryptozoologists.
Indroductions under cut! (as well as OOC info)
The name's Wayne. I use he/him pronouns and I'm 23. I'm the team's doctor and a former zoology student. I play the Pokémon TCG in my free time. If I make a post, I'll be sure to add the "#wayne cameo" tag.
As for me, I'm Mia! I use she/her pronouns and I'm 24. I'm in charge of navigation. My Pokémon might look a bit scary at first, but trust me when I say they're all absolute sweethearts! I also LOVE learning about ancient Pokémon. In fact, I used to study paleontology back in Galar before I joined Wayne and Theo. If you want to see some of my posts, look for the "#miaposting" tag.
And finally, there's me, Theo. He/him pronouns, aged 24 as well. I'm, unfortunately, the only person in the party who can cook, so I'm in charge of that. For a time, back in my hometown, I was a florist, but I was always a bigger fan of growing vegetables. I guess that's it for me. My posts are tagged with "#theoposting" if you're looking for fun stories or life advice.
Actually, there's one more! That's me, Clover! Paldean Champion and part-time Dimension Hopper, I'm not exactly part of the team but I asked Wayne nicely (I stole his phone and found the login information) and he let me participate in the blog too! I'm also the unlucky one that keeps running into weird Pokémon, and their main source of information. My posts are gonna be tagged with "#four-leaf hijack" btw.
While most of our Pokémon are displayed in our trainer cards, we usually catch a few wild Pokémon temporarily to help fulfill roles ours can't. We also tend to borrow Pokémon from our friends and family to study them in more detail.
OOC INFORMATION:
Any out-of-character notes/comments will be marked with a //
Sticking close to canon but not too close.
Anyone is welcome to interact, rp blog or not, sentient pokémon or human.
Let us avoid drama! Illegal stuff, prejudice/bigotry, explicit/nsfw topics and stuff like that will be avoided at all costs.
Peliper Mail is open!
Magic Anons too! Though they're limited.
During most months' last weekend, I'll be hosting Magic Anon Weekends, in which Magic Anons will be unrestricted until the month is over. Might extend if there's a holiday on friday or monday as well.
Mod @elpendrive uses he/him pronouns
While the characters in this blog are adults, the muse is not. So let's steer clear of any nsfw topics please.
Location: As with Stakataka, this species' homeworld is still unknown to us, but it most likely comes from another planet or dimension. All known specimens have emerged from an Ultra Wormhole, and most sightings come from southern Galar and Poni Island in Alola.
Threat Level: High. Blacephalon does not tell friend from enemy, and will not think twice before attacking if it feels threatened. Avoid close contact with Blacephalon at all costs.
Previous research on Blacephalon is non-existent, as the Aether Foundation's UB research initiative was shut down shortly after this species was discovered and named.
"Blacephalon's body is made of a bizarre rubber-like material, while its head is made from a condensed, highly-flammable gas that runs through its body like blood. Not only do its attacks blind its enemies, Blacephalon also temporarily blinds itself in the process, as it can only see by the two spots on the side of its head, which act like eyeballs."

"This thing terrifies me in a spiritual level. I'm never getting close to one of those again, even if it's Bally."

Location: This species' homeworld is still unknown to us, but it most likely comes from another planet or dimension. All known specimens have emerged from an Ultra Wormhole, and most sightings come from southern Galar and Akala Island in Alola.
Threat Level: High. Its erratic behavior means it's unpredictable when it's going to choose you as a target.
Beyond our Dimension: Research from the Aether Foundation suggests every Xurkitree specimen ever encountered is ridiculously small compared to the ones found in their home world. Consider yourself lucky the large ones are too big to fit in your regular Ultra Wormhole. Recordings from Ultra Wormholes suggest their planet is constantly experiencing thunderstorms.
"Xurkitree really enjoy showing off. They'll frantically flail their arms and fire bolts of electricity into the air in an attempt to impress others. When resting, it sticks its plug-like appendages into the ground and stands still as if it were a tree."
Wayne Shamrock
"Xurkitree seem to eat plant matter the same way Pokémon like Zubat drink blood. It sticks its plug-like appendages into fruit and sucks the nutrients out. There's no way to confirm this is something they do in their homeworld."

WHAT THE FUCK THEO
I met a Xurkitree here on rotomblr and asked him for his favorite foods. Used them to lure this big guy out of the Max Lair. I think it might be the key to calm Blacephalon down.
(First ever ask game I'm hosting, woo! Some of them will be in character, and some if then will be OOC. Reblog if you want to get asks. The asks are open for me as well)

Have your character describe themselves in 5 words. Then you describe them in 5 words
I trust your business despite never having bought anything from it. I don't believe people would lie about ethically sourcing materials from Pokémon, especially ones like Carbink, the embodiment of all things nice.
If you don't mind me asking, how do you take the gems from a Carbink? Do they shed the crystals on their bodies over time?
Thank you very much for the kind words! It's always wonderful to meet such courteous folk on this website. As for our exact harvesting practices, I'd prefer to keep them a secret, if you don't mind. We can't have our competitors finding out and then using them for themselves, can we?
I see... It's only fair you'd like to keep the methods to such a unique business practice a secret. I'm too afraid to think of the environmental impact it would cause if performed by untrained people.
Fair enough. Then I'll do like Wayne and believe you wouldn't dare actually harm the world's purest little creature.
