RNBW Volume 3c Episode 8 (FINALE)

Well, after 6 years, it's finally done! I'm not going to say too much because I'll be making my final thoughts in a separate post, but I will say thanks to anyone who even gave a glance to this story and these characters- they've become a much bigger part of my journey as an artist and a writer than I ever thought they would!

There's definitely some things that won't be addressed by the end of this, but I'll try to cover those in a small post too! Enjoy!

· RNBW launches into an attack against ChengLong.

· Will tries tying her up again with his gun’s electric lasso, and though it slows her, she snaps it apart, the uncharged strings hanging loosely off her.

· Nappa barrages ChengLong with more kicks and energy blasts, but ChengLong melts Nappa’s shoes and armor in one hit. Panicked, Nappa sheds the melting armor and calls in replacement parts from the wreckage of the mech, which fly in and replace her broken tech like the Veronica satellite in Age of Ultron.

· Despite Rusty and Brandeis’ attempts at providing cover fire and distractions, ChengLong chases Nappa into the air, and with one solid flaming punch, knocks her into the dried salt-crystal seabed, breaking her tech and incapacitating her.

· As ChengLong charges up a fireball to finish her off, a thunderbolt from Will’s revolver takes out her right eye, halting the attack and sending her to the ground. Before anyone else can take advantage of this moment, ChengLong is already back on her feet.

· With one swing of her sword, she shatters Will’s aura, sending him flying back dozens of feet with a massive gash in his chest. Now Will is out of the fight, too.

· Rusty rushes in and clashes weapons with ChengLong, but is soon beaten back, her horn getting chipped by a sword strike. ChengLong grabs Rusty by the throat and tries to roast her from the inside like she did with Robin.

· Rusty instinctively triggers her Semblance which actually shields her from the flames, since it makes her impervious to all outside attacks.

· Before ChengLong can process this, Brandeis blasts her with an Aura Storm at full force. Brandeis continues this assault with handful after handful of Storm Knives, even as ChengLong, shocked at how a normal human can produce so much Aura, flies higher in the sky to get some breathing room.

· Brandeis uses her barriers to carry herself into the air in pursuit, throwing more knives and Aura Storms with a fury we’ve never seen before.

· When the fight started, the sky over the mines was relatively clear. Now after ChengLong evaporated all the water in the cove, it’s full of clouds that have condensed from said water.

· As ChengLong shatters more Storm Knives, the fragments fly into the clouds, turning them into dark stormclouds.

· ChengLong finally shoots a bus-sized flame blast at Brandeis, which breaks through her barrier in a huge explosion, sending Brandeis tumbling to the flaming battlefield below. Brandeis uses her Semblance to break her fall, down but not out.

· Before ChengLong can finish Brandeis off, Rusty uses her Semblance to fly into ChengLong and grabs her.

· ChengLong tells Rusty that all of this is futile. Rusty says she doesn’t care and tells Will over the communicator to activate it. Will, still bleeding out on the ground, has enough strength to press a button on his gun, which causes the electric lasso ropes still on ChengLong to start glowing and charging up.

· With that, a rumble sounds throughout the clouds, as half a dozen massive thunderbolts launch from them to strike the lightning rod that is ChengLong and Rusty.

· The sheer power behind this attack causes ChengLong to release some of her stored energy in a fiery explosion. She and Rusty tumble to earth and land in a massive cloud of smoke.

· An injured Rusty gets up to see ChengLong already on her feet, her body covered in glowing orange cracks as it falls apart from everything that’s happened.

· Holding Brandeis by the throat, ChengLong reiterates that she cannot die, not until she has avenged all the Faunus that have suffered at the hands of humanity.

· As ChengLong starts using her internal combustion move on Brandeis too, Rusty musters all her strength into one final charge at ChengLong, slamming into her and making ChengLong lose her grip on Brandeis.

· As the two rocket off into the sky, ChengLong tries punching Rusty’s charge barrier in an attempt to break free but Rusty keeps flying upwards. Blasts of flame, no matter how large ChengLong makes them, also have no effect.

· Rusty charges higher and higher, determined to take the self-destructing ChengLong as far away from everyone as possible, until the two reach Remnant’s outer atmosphere.

· As they reach outer space, Rusty finally loosens her grip after no longer being able to keep her Semblance up any longer.

· Now out of Remnant’s atmosphere, all the Dust ChengLong absorbed loses its effect, and the orange glow coming from her body subsides. The world of Remnant is reflected in ChengLong’s tearing eyes as she floats off into the blackness of space and her life ebbs away.

· Relieved that Remnant is safe, Rusty passes out as she begins to fall back down to Remnant’s surface.

· Meanwhile, Brandeis is using what little energy she has left to heal Will and Nappa just enough to keep them alive. She sees Rusty falling down to the ground in the distance and bolts after her.

· Tears in her eyes as she no longer has the strength to create a barrier to catch Rusty, Brandeis is at a loss, until she sees Ori’s drones fly in to slow Rusty’s fall with their tractor beams.

· As Rusty continues falling, Icter rushes in to catch her, using his Semblance on her so she’ll be unharmed from the fall.

· Nevertheless, Rusty still lands with a crash, though not one as big and fatal as it could have been.

· Rusty, barely conscious, come to and sees her teammates running to her side, heavily injured but happy to see her alive.

· Weeks later, RAINBOW has made a full recovery.

· Nappa and Ori happily re-unite with a resurrected Penny at Nappa’s workshop. Nappa jokes that she didn’t need to save a backup of Penny after all as she quickly hides blueprints for an “Emergency Penny Polendina Aura Duplicator”. The three of them and Pietro begin work on converting Amity Colosseum into a satellite like one of Nappa’s

· Will, Agnes, and Will’s mother are inducting the former Zodiac members into the Atlas branch of the new, more conscientious Hunds corporation, which now focuses on building infrastructure and power generators for impoverished Faunus communities. (All the generators have the Springs emblem on them)

· Icter and his now-recovered sister are hanging out with Team LMNS. Lyme and Nanday have gotten together while Sapphire is feeling down after being dumped by her gf. Matcha remains in her own world, as usual.

· Rusty and Brandeis stand in front of the newly-completed Loca Star Faunus Outreach Center, continuing her work. As Angelo happily runs in with his friends to have fun, Rusty puts her arm around Brandeis, happy that she’s able to make sure nobody is left behind.

· They are joined by Nappa and William, and as the four members of the now-disbanded Team RNBW catch up, they promise that no matter what happens, things will be okay as long as they’re together.

RNBW Vol 3c Episode 7

I've been planning the full 7-member Team RAINBOW thing for a good couple of years now- did anyone clue into it before now?

· RAINBOW battles against ChengLong. With the numbers advantage, they’re quickly able to keep her on her toes, pushing her away from the forcefield.

· Nappa asks Ori if “it” has finished booting up. Ori responds that it’s still on the way.

· Despite Icter’s attempts to stun her, Brandeis’ barriers, and the many other attempts to faze and block her, ChengLong lands another fireball on the barrier, destroying its second-to-last layer.

· Eventually, Icter is able to freeze one of ChengLong’s arms. Brandeis, William, and Ori are able to bind her other arm and legs. Angelo and Nappa hold her wings down when they realize she effectively still has those two limbs free.

· As she struggles to get loose, she sees Rusty charging towards her, axe at the ready.

· ChengLong twists her body and creates a flame wall in front of her right as Rusty’s attack connects. Rusty’s hesitation from this softens her attack just enough, and the resulting explosion from the impact sends everyone flying.

· When the dust clears, Rusty looks up to see ChengLong has reclaimed her sword and everyone else is strewn around the battlefield.

· ChengLong slices through the final barrier, and before she can touch the dust vein, Nappa keys something into her scroll.

· A shadow looms over ChengLong and she looks up to be immediately punted half a kilometre away by a giant robot foot. Nappa’s secret project, a giant grasshopper mech, has finally arrived.

· Nappa flies into the cockpit and prepares to fight. She and ChengLong fly at each other, trading fireballs and laser blasts. Despite piloting a mech as big as a house, Nappa notices that the ChengLong’s fire is still hot enough to melt away chunks of the hull. She needs to finish this fast.

· Nappa releases several subwoofer-drones from the mech, which surround ChengLong. Combined with the mech’s own sonic cannons, they barrage ChengLong with a massive sonic blast, shattering her armour and her aura. (Similar to Ultimate Echo-Echo’s attack)

· ChengLong screams in agony within her prison of sound and tries generating flame to escape. The flames sputter within the sonic storm, but to Nappa’s surprise, ChengLong quickly generates enough fire and heat to break through the storm and damage the subwoofers one by one. She swings her sword to finish them off and immediately lunges at Nappa, swinging again to slice the mech in two before she can react.

· Thankfully, Nappa can still fly her cockpit independently, and leads ChengLong on a chase over the large cove next to the mines. She narrowly dodges all of ChengLong’s fire blasts, each one evaporating massive chunks of ocean until the cove is almost all gone.

· ChengLong decides this is futile and returns to her original task, flying back to the dust vein.

· Nappa sees this and tries to chase after her, but it’s too late. Her mech is on its last legs and she ditches it in the drying ocean. ChengLong swings her sword and blows back Ori, Angelo, and Icter in front of the vein, taking them out.

· ChengLong lays a hand on the large orange crystal and a bright flash of light covers everything.

· RNBW open their eyes to see that the north half of Remnant hasn’t been blown up and they’re still alive. Instead, they see ChengLong glowing with white-hot flame energy, enough to start shining through as cracks in her skin and eyes.

· She tells them that there would be no point in blowing up Remnant indiscriminately. Her real goal was to absorb all the energy from the Dust, not blow it up. Holding that much energy inside her would kill her eventually, but she has enough time before that happens to fire it at Atlas and Atlas alone, the symbol of all of Remnant’s oppression. With Atlas gone, the human and Faunus sides of Remnant will finally be equalized.

· Nappa flies back to this sight and lets everyone know that killing ChengLong would release all the energy in an explosion big enough to destroy everything within a dozen mile radius.

· Injured but not out, Rusty, Nappa, Brandeis, and William solemnly prepare to fight to the last, knowing that death will come no matter what they do.

RNBW Vol 3c Episode 6

· While CAPA and LMNS are able to make some headway, taking out most of the admins, Narange and Olivine remain, creating enough trouble to take out Cutter, Ptolemy, and Agnes. Meanwhile, LMNS are in pretty rough shape and are unsure if they can keep going.

· LMNS are getting really worn down and no longer have their Aura up, as they continue battling against Narange and Olivine.

· Injured, they make one last bid. Lyme turns the ground around him into quicksand right as Narange dives in for the kill, halting him. Immediately after that, Nanday, flying overhead, drops Matcha in front of Narange as he is trying to time dilate his way out of the ground.

· Sapphire teleports behind Narange and touches him at the same time.

· Between trying to move himself through time, Sapphire trying to move him through space, and Matcha using her semblance to move his soul into a pocket reality, Narange is completely desynced from reality and ripped apart on an atomic level.

· Exhausted from this manoeuvre, LMNS are unable to re-position to guard against an enraged and vengeful Olivine’s attack.

· Before she can land a hit, Olivine’s arms are stuck by two lightning blasts and shut down.

· Turning around, she sees Will, Rusty, Brandeis, and Icter behind her, as they restrain her.

· LMNS thank Will for the save. As Brandeis restores LMNS and CAPA’s aura, Rusty tells them that they should take the apprehended Zodiac admins back to Atlas. On top of that, LMNS and CAPA should go back too. Even with their Auras back up, it will take a long while for their severe wounds to heal, and they are no longer in any shape to fight.

· As LMNS gathers up the Zodiac admins, Will interjects. He says he’s willing to offer many of these Faunus a second chance at Hunds. Icter, Cutter, Aurelia, and Ptolemy protest, but Will stands his ground.

· He says that these people only joined the White Fang because life never gave them any other chances, so he wants to give them one, especially since Hunds needs to be taken in a new direction now.

· CAPA begrudgingly agrees and flies off with LMNS to get treated back at Atlas.

· With that, RWBI continues a few kilometres north to arrive at the mineshaft, a surprisingly large and open crater with a massive Dust crystal at its centre, surrounded by three layers of forcefields.

· As RWBI checks to make sure the forcefield hasn’t been tampered with, they notice that it’s not as cold as before. Looking up, they see ChengLong flying overhead, generating a massive fireball.

· She hurls it at RWBI and the explosion is big enough to cover the whole crater.

· When the flames subside, we see that Rusty and Brandeis have shielded everyone with their Semblances. However, the outermost layer of the forcefield is already disintegrating from this attack.

· Before they have a chance to re-group, ChengLong swings her sword and the long-range shockwave it creates knocks RWBI away.

· ChengLong tells Rusty and William that they still have a chance to save themselves.

· Rusty still insists that she doesn’t want to fight, and that all the casualties that will come of ChengLong’s plan aren’t worth it.

· Disappointed, ChengLong charges up another fireball, bigger than before, but before she can throw it, she is blown back by a powerful sonic blast.

· Everyone turns to see that Nappa has finally arrived, with her new Jet Boots and jetpack.

· Ori has also arrived alongside Nappa, flying in on her new improved drones.

· Angrily, ChengLong is about to swing her sword at them too, but it vanishes from her hand in a flash of orange light.

· Looking down, ChengLong sees that Angelo has snatched her sword with his Semblance.

· RWBI realizes he must’ve stowed away on their ship. Rusty frantically yells at him to run away somewhere safe, but he insists that he wants to help.

· Before ChengLong can attack Angelo to get her sword back, Nappa grabs him and the sword, and whisks him over to where everyone else is.

· All gathered together, Rusty, Angelo, Icter, Nappa, Brandeis, Ori, and William (RAINBOW) stand united and ready to battle ChengLong for the fate of Remnant.

RNBW Vol 3c Episode 5

Sorry for the delay! All the episodes will finally be posted without any more hiatuses!

· Narange gathers up the rest of the Zodiac and tells them that they’re heading to reinforce the attack site and wait for ChengLong.

· When some of them ask why, he refuses to disclose why, and asks Dusty if he’s been able to set up the broadcast yet.

· Narange tells a group of his underlings to head to Mantle to prepare for evacuation.

· Meanwhile, Icter has successfully lost the Atlesian forces trying to stop them from leaving.

· Now in less of a panic, Icter asks RBW about how they even got split up so far apart to begin with.

· Rusty hesitates before telling Icter about what happened at Vytal. Icter gives his condolences, also having lost someone at Vytal.

· Rusty adds that she doesn’t want anyone else to suffer a loss like that, so that’s why she’s going to stop the Zodiac, no matter what.

· Meanwhile, the Zodiac are powering through a series of mineshafts criss-crossing the mountains of northern Atlas.

· Right as they arrive on the other side of the tunnel, they are greeted by ChengLong, who has finally flown back from Menagerie.

· Chenglong mentions that a large tech factory and its convoy of trucks blocks their path.

· As important as the coming fight will be, ChengLong still wants to minimize casualties as much as possible, and tells the rest of the Zodiac that they will be taking down and evacuating the factory of all its underpaid Faunus workers.

· As such, the Zodiac enter the factory and boldly announce that they will be liberating the workers.

· The factory head and his large security drones show up to stop them and ChengLong and Narange go to fight him. He calls for his two freelance Hunstmen bodyguards to defend him.

· The Zodiac admins defeat the drones and evacuate the factory. ChengLong and Narange easily defeat the Huntsmen and kill the factory head. ChengLong heads back to help the workers evacuate while Narange goes ahead to regroup with the other admins.

· CAPA and LMNS are waiting for them, having formed a slight perimeter in front of the mine.

· Aurelia picks something up with her Semblance, but immediately afterwards, she gets taken out by Olivine’s thagomizer as she decloaks.

· Caught off guard, CAPA and LMNS start their battle against the Zodiac admins on the backfoot.

RNBW Vol 3c Episode 4

For timeline purposes, this takes place just over a week after 3c Episode 2.

·        The Zodiac admins are recovering in their safehouse on the outskirts of Mantle. Adam has slipped away in order to settle some things in Mistral. Violet is out of commission. Barring Buck, who has been apprehended, the others are still pretty much ok.

·        Rufus asks Narange where ChengLong is.

·        Narange says he doesn’t know- she should have been back days ago.

·        We cut to Menagerie at night. ChengLong is standing alone on its shores when she is approached by a small Faunus kid.

·        She asks the kid what life on Menagerie is like, and what they would change about it if they could.

·        The kid gives their thoughts and Chenglong thinks about it for a second, then thanks the kid and flies off.

·        Nappa and Ori are discussing what the Zodiac’s plans could be.

·        Nappa pinpoints some coordinates found in the Zodiac’s files and realizes something, horrified.

·        Back in Atlas, RBW, LMNS, CAPA, and Icter meet up at Ardah’s café.

·        The three Allum sisters catch up and jape around.

·        Suddenly, Rusty gets a call from Nappa. She’s picked up a heat signature in Mistral from ChengLong’s battle with Team ROYL. They now know she has the sword.

·        On top of that, Nappa also found their next target- next a massive unstable Dust vein pretty much exactly at Remnant’s North Pole near the original Schnee Dust mine.

·        She and Ori crunched the numbers and realised- if the immense heat from ChengLong’s Semblance hits the vein, the chain reaction could spread all the way to Mantle, creating an explosion more than huge enough to hit Atlas all the way in the air and blow it to pieces.

·        Nappa tells CAPA and LMNS to report to Ironwood and get there as fast as possible. They’ve already sent the data to Ironwood and he’s approved it with the utmost urgency. She and RNBW will catch up later since they’ll have to sneak out again under Ironwood’s watch.

·        Aurelia and Agnes say goodbye to Ardah, who wishes them good luck.

·        Agnes gives William a goodbye kiss.

·        As RBW and Icter walk off, Rusty calls her parents

·        She tells them that she became a huntress to help those who can’t help themselves. And that this mission might be her last. She thanks them both and apologises.

·        Will calls his mom too, consoling her again and promising he’ll be there for her once he finishes this mission.

·        With no-one to call, Brandeis just tells the others that she’s been lucky to have them and that she’ll be with them til the end.

·        RBW have one big group hug (with Rusty inviting Icter to join in) before rushing off.

·        As they head to the airfield, they are spotted by Angelo, who’s in the middle of class.

·        CAPA and LMNS take off in Bullheads, just as RWBI gets there.

·        Rusty and William discuss how they should steal a Bullhead. Icter notes that he knows how to fly one, to the relief of everyone else.

·        In the middle of their discussion, Angelo shows up, much to their surprise.

·        They ask him what he’s doing and he tells them how he’s been with a foster family and at school for the last few weeks.

·        He asks why they’re snaking around their own campus and hey catch him up on the world-ending situation going on.

·        In response, Anglo decides to help them with a “check this out”.

·        He aims his palm at a nearby pilot, and with a flash of orange light in his palm, shows off the fact that he unlocked his “Pickpocket” semblance.

·        The keys to a Bullhead now in his hand, Angelo passes the keys to Rusty and asks if he can tag along as thanks. RWBI says no, he’s just a kid and he just got his new family.

·        Angelo is upset as they dash off to the Bullhead after thanking him.

·        Icter hops in the pilot seat and the gang frantically evades Atlas air traffic control as they soar off northward.

RNBW Vol 3c Episode 3!

Sorry for the delay! A lot of things have been going on- with actual RWBY, with my studies, and with the world as a whole. I may have to set up another hiatus in a few weeks but I’ll try my best to get this series wrapped up asap!

Episode 3:

·        Ori catches Nappa up on their recent projects, as they walk past something covered by a giant tarp.

·        Icter and Ori introduce themselves to each other.

·        Ori says she can track ChengLong by observing global heat spikes via the mini satellites they set up. A ping gets set off in Mistral.

·        ChengLong asks Team ROYL to peacefully return her sword. They refuse. “We’re Huntresses. Killing monsters is what we do.”

·        ChengLong opens her attack with a huge burst of fire, but Robin, leader of Team ROYL blows it back with her Reflect semblance, catching ChengLong off guard

·        Robin tells her teammates to attack in formation.

·        Orchid manages to bind ChengLong up in her energy ribbons, but another blast of flame forces her to let go. Yucca and Lavender start wailing on Chenglong, but she bats them aside.

·        ChengLong is caught off guard by a powerful lance strike from Robin, knocking her back.

·        ChengLong dashes at Robin to punch her behind the shield, but Lavender uses her Damage Transfer semblance to pass her and Yucca’s Aura damage onto ChengLong, shattering her Aura. ChengLong recoils from the sudden shock and pain of this.

·        As Team ROYL pummels an Aura-less ChengLong, she flashes back to memories of losing her home, losing her troops, all the humans who have oppressed and taken from her.

·        Orchid binds ChengLong’s arms again, holding her in place. Robin turns her lance into a grenade launcher and fires several shots, but ChengLong perks back up from rage and breathes fire at them, blowing them up early and knocking Robin back.

·        As the fight goes on, the surrounding temperature gets higher and higher, draining Team ROYL’s stamina. They really feel it once ChengLong actually mentions this aloud.

·        Yucca goes to revert Robin’s injuries with her Reverse semblance. Lavender slashes at ChengLong to give them cover, landing a few good stabs, but ChengLong grabs Orchid’s ribbons and hurls her at Lavender.

·        Unbound, ChengLong sprays fire at both pairs of huntresses. Orchid dodges barely, Lavender is blasted back and knocked out, and Yucca reverts the fire’s combustion before it hits her and Robin, who has mostly recovered.

·        ChengLong releases a wave of fire to drive the huntresses back and goes for the sword.

·        Orchid uses her ribbons to pull it away, and Robin lands another powerful lance thrust in ChengLong’s abdomen, halting her with a huge puncture wound in her side.

·        ChengLong prepares another flame blast and Robin puts her Reflect up again, but ChengLong shoots it at an angle this time so the ricochet hits Yucca, taking her out.

·        Angered, Orchid lashes at ChengLong, whipping her with all four of her ribbons.

·        Try as she may, she doesn’t have enough ribbons or time to bind ChengLong’s arms, legs, and wings. Regardless, ChengLong breathes another concentrated jet of flame at Orchid, fazing her long enough for ChengLong to dash within range and chokeslam Orchid, taking her out too.

·        ChengLong then retrieves her sword. With a dramatic beat, the moment she grabs it a rush of power flows through her, and all the flames in the area change from orange to blue.

·        ChengLong quickly deflects another grenade shot at her by Robin, the last huntress standing.

·        Robin says she’s not going down without a fight.

·        ChengLong calmly states that it doesn’t matter how much Aura Robin has left. Aura can’t protect a person’s insides. She raises an arm at Robin and concentrates, as the blue flames around them start to burn an even brighter white.

·        Right as Robin is trying to process what this means, she stops. Something’s wrong. Robin drops to the ground as smoke pours from her mouth and nose. We hear flames crackling nearby but don’t see any until fire erupts from Robin’s face and she lets out an agonized scream.

·        Now at her full strength and reunited with her sword, ChengLong has full control of her combustion Semblance. The heat and flames she makes don’t have to shoot out from her body. She can make a tree burst into flames on its own, summon an individual fireball 20ft away, or… create fire inside the bodies of others. It no longer matters how much Aura anyone has, because now ChengLong can burn them to a crisp from the inside out.

·        Robin drops, motionless and smouldering, as ChengLong flies away.

RNBW Vol 3c Episode 2!

·        A bruised and battered Rusty bursts through the rubble of the destroyed Zodiac temple.

·        Soon after, Brandeis and Ptolemy, who shielded those next to them, emerge too.

·        After some healing, RNBW and CAPA get to work rescuing and apprehending any Zodiac members left behind, including William’s father.

·        Will calls for a bullhead to take them back to Atlas.

·        On the ride back, William is distraught and panicking over nearly being murdered by his father and wonders if he’s doing the right thing anymore by fighting the White Fang.

·        Agnes reassures him that she knows he will use his skills and resources to help Faunus more than the Zodiac ever could.

·        He still second-guesses himself and goes on about how he doesn’t know where to start helping, but she cuts him off by using her Semblance and holding her hand to his chest with no effect, proving that he’s good-hearted.

·        Upon noticing this, Will is overcome by emotion and breaks down.

·        Meanwhile, Brandeis tells Rusty that she’s sorry she failed at leading a team of her own, and that she doesn’t know if staying a huntress is even the right thing to do anymore.

·        Rusty tells Brandeis that she’s always proud of her no matter what. And that they don’t have to do things the “Atlas way” anymore if it means they’re not doing things the right way.

·        Rusty hugs an exhausted Brandeis, holding her close for the rest of the flight.

·        When RNBW and CAPA return, they report what happened to Ironwood and Winter.

·        Ironwood is alarmed and upset at Nappa’s presence, but she quickly and angrily tells him to f*** off.

·        She retorts with:

1.      She’s not telling him where she relocated her family to.

2.      They both know she’s not guilty- he just needed a scapegoat.

3.      She, her family, and Ori can easily fix the CCT by setting up a satellite network if he doesn’t mess with her anymore.

4.      With the insanely powerful dragon warlord flying around, he needs all the help he can get.

5.      If he says no, she’ll beat the shit out of him.

·        With no other options, Ironwood pardons her.

·        He also adds that because of Yuki’s interference, all hunter recruitment is put on hold and Team BISC is disbanded.

·        Rusty says “Guess that means Team RNBW is back for real now!”

·        RNBW and CAPA are happily greeted by Icter, Ciel, LMNS, and their other friends.

·        Brandeis introduces Icter to the others.

·        RNBW say they’d love to catch up but they have to go to the archives to research on a new threat. CAPA goes to get their equipment fixed.

·        In the archives, RNBW finds records of ChengLong, detailing her strength, flame Semblance, and powerful sword. Rusty remembers overhearing Narange talking about retrieving a sword. Brandeis recognises it as the same sword she saw on a scroll in their base.

·        Suddenly they all realise where they’ve seen it before- Brandeis’ old house in Mistral.

·        Nappa calls Ironwood, telling him about the sword and to send anyone he can to Brandeis’ place in Mistral.

·        Ironwood says that while he can’t do that per se, his friend Leo already has a team in the area, Team ROYL, and that they’re already relocating all the reclaimed Atlas artefacts from Brandeis’ place.

·        While they are anxious if ROYL will actually be able to do anything, Nappa tells the others that they should head somewhere else to discuss things.

·        They take a ship to Mantle and then a long drive to a military scrapyard on the outskirts of the city.

·        Icter comes along with Brandeis’ recommendation. He gets acquainted with Rusty and William on the trip there.

·        When they arrive at the scrapyard, they are attacked by several Grimm.

·        Before they have a chance to fight, the Grimm are taken out by a bunch of Dust lasers.

·        We see these lasers came from a bunch of Ori’s new drones. Ori emerges from behind a scrap heap and welcomes them. She takes them to the safehouse where Nappa’s family is staying.

·        In Mistral, Team ROYL are transporting ChengLong’s sword, when ChengLong herself, wreathed in flames, drops down in front of them.

RNBW Vol 3c Episode 1: The Imperial Race

Happy Chinese New Year, everyone! In the spirit of the Zodiac, Vol 3c premiers with a flashback episode to the origins of the White Fang Zodiac group, specifically the origins and backstory of their leader, Xia ChengLong!

·        Flash back thousands of years ago.

·        A Faunus village is being burned down by human attackers.

·        A baby girl with tiny wings and horns is passed to a young Faunus man who runs off to safety.

·        Flash-forward 17 years and a teenage Narange and his other Faunus friends are running through the jungle, being pursued by human hunters.

·        When they get cornered, a teen ChengLong shows up and scares the hunters away.

·        She asks her friends why they keep stealing from the humans.

·        They show her their stolen loot and while ChengLong is impressed, she reiterates that human-faunus relations are already bad and shouldn’t be made worse.

·        Narange says he doesn’t think they’ll ever be good.

·        ChengLong and friends return to their Faunus village located in the centre of a large asteroid crater.

·        Walking through town, they greet many of the residents by name.

·        When they get to ChengLong’s place, her adoptive father and village elder reprimands Narange and his friends for their recklessness.

·        ChengLong defends them and ensures they don’t get punished too harshly.

·        At dusk, she goes to hang out with her friends by the crater’s edge.

·        Days later, ChengLong is walking through the jungle when she hears a ruckus far off.

·        Going to investigate, she sees that a bunch of Grimm are attacking a human city.

·        The city’s human army is struggling against the Grimm, until ChengLong decides to step in and help, and we see her fight for the very first time.

·        After the Grimm are defeated, the people of the city cheer ChengLong for her work, but their general, Yagaan, is offended that she thought her help was needed and tells her to leave, much to the townsfolk’s dismay.

·        She laughs this off and heads back.

·        When she gets back, she eagerly tells her friends and family that it’s possible to be liked by the humans.

·        Back in the human town, Yagaan expresses how he feels it speaks poorly for them to rely on Faunus help, and how the loss of faith this will cause in their citizens will eventually lead to civil disruption.

·        The other members of the government are on the fence but tell him that the obvious solution is just to find a better way to deal with the Grimm.

·        Over the next few months, ChengLong has taken to being a hero of the people, going from town to town to kill Grimm and redistribute the food and money she gets as thanks.

·        Yagaan is more and more upset at her success throughout this montage.

·        We see ChengLong after another recent victory, happily chatting with townsfolk of all races.

·        She takes off into the air with her wings and prepares to head home.

·        But as she gets closer, she sees an unsettling amount of smoke coming from the crater.

·        She flies there as fast as she can and arrives to see the village has been burnt to the ground.

·        Even worse, the panic of the villagers have attracted enough Grimm to burst through a weak point in the crater wall, broken open by cannon fire.

·        ChengLong tries to fight off the Grimm and rescue the villagers, but there’s too many.

·        Back in the human city, Yagaan stands before the citizens and points to the smouldering Faunus village, saying that the Grimm are attracted to the Faunus for being an “unclean” race, and that humans should avoid contact with them.

·        As the last wave of Grimm descends on ChengLong and her friends, she unlocks her Semblance and a powerful jet of flame shoots from her hand, incinerating all the Grimm.

·        Yagaan returns to the city council, who commend his plan to divert the Grimm away from the humans, which will eventually be expanded to other Fanus settlements around the continent.

·        A devastated ChengLong looks through the wreckage to find survivors, but to her horror, she finds her adoptive father, dead.

·        Slowly filling with rage, she vows to her friends that she will make the humans pay.

·        Flash forward to years later. Metal from the meteorite in the Faunus village centre is being forged together with Dust crystals into a large blade in the shape of a dragon’s wing.

·        An adult ChengLong is using her flames to stoke this forge and tests the sword with a swing.

·        The combined strength of her and the sword lets her slice apart obstacles dozens of feet away.

·        She meets with her allies to discuss plans for the Faunus resistance.

·        They mention that the other 11 factions are preoccupied but the estimate meetup date is within a month.

·        At the border of a walled human city, many Faunus refugees are being turned away by the guards.

·        Suddenly, ChengLong flies by and uses her sword to slice down the wall at several points, letting the refugees in. Her allies distribute supplies to them too.

·        Montage of ChengLong and her 11 generals of the Chinese Zodiac providing relief to impoverished Faunus and warring against human forces. Their main logo is a dragon version of what would eventually become the White Fang Logo

·        We also see ChengLong get more and more used to using her flame powers during this montage.

·        Eventually the human and Faunus armies both arrive at a large seaside plain.

·        ChengLong reiterates to Yagaan that she only wants the humans to leave the Faunus alone.

·        Yagaan replies that too much blood has been shed at this point, and ChengLong solemnly agrees.

·        The two armies charge into battle, ChengLong flying right for Yagaan in his battalion of DaVinci-style tanks.

·        Dodging his tank shells, she eventually destroys it and he crawls out to continue fighting.

·        He attempts to call out her hypocrisy as they swordfight, but she’s had enough and simply melts his armor to his skin, the tank, and the ground, sealing him alive.

·        Just as ChengLong’s forces look like they’re winning, the military forces of Mantle arrive from the sea with powerful Dust cannons and other weapons.

·        They coldly dispatch ChengLong’s forces in massive numbers.

·        Just before Narange gets hit with a cannon blast, ChengLong dives in to take the hit, shielding him. Her sword gets blown away in the blast.

·        Furious and broken, ChengLong unleashes a massive blast of flame at the Mantle forces, destroying a good chunk of them.

·        With the last of her strength, she carries Narange and flies off.

·        They take shelter in a large Faunus temple, lost on what to do next.

·        ChengLong tells Narange that she doesn’t want to prolong a war that will only produce more casualties than change.

·        After a bit of thinking, she gets an idea, and tells Narange her plan.

·        Heading to the lower chamber of the temple, ChengLong tells Narange that the ideal moment for her return will be when human infrastructure is collapsing from civil conflict.

·        She infuses a dragon talisman with her aura and passes it to Narange.

·        Narange is shocked at this plan but agrees to it, as they agree to spend the following days preparing to enact it.

·        On the fated day, ChengLong and Narange have returned to the temple and exchange tearful goodbyes. She heads to the temple’s lower chamber and absorbs all the heat in the room, cryogenically freezing herself.

·        Soon after, Narange heads to another chamber in the temple and activates his time dilation semblance, accelerating time forward by millennia while he only ages a few decades.

·        Only when we reach the near-modern day, does Narange awaken and venture into the world to see a young Sienna and Ghira at a protest, does he smirk and realise the time of the Faunus will soon arrive. He walks over to join them.

·        Back in the present day, Narange is standing beside ChengLong as he and the rest of the Zodiac depart from the bullheads. He tells her he’s glad to have her back. She says she’s glad to be back.

RNBW Volume 3b Episode 8!

·        Nappa defeats Violet after struggling with Violet’s cumulative damage Semblance but is cornered by Olivine and Adam.

·        WCAPA find Brandeis, and after Aurelia double-checks to see if it’s really her, Ptolemy heals her.

·        Will and Brandeis hug and try to catch up quickly, as they run through the temple, eventually arriving at the central chamber.

·        Unfortunately, they are met by the rest of the Zodiac admins and a large number of grunts.

·        Nappa also runs into the chamber, pursued by Adam and Olivine.

·        CAPA and NBW try to fight them all but soon begin to get overwhelmed.

·        Just then, a massive force bursts through the wall and plows through the White Fang forces, scattering them.

·        With a new axe in hand, Rusty Redwoods has returned, rallying Team RNBW and Team CAPA together.

·        Cutter and Narange fight.

·        Will spots his father trying to get away but regretfully nails him in the leg with a well-placed shot.

·        Several other battles and combo moves happen here.

·        Most importantly, Rusty and Adam have their rematch. When she gains the upper hand, he uses the energy from a Dust crystal he saved to blast her back.

·        As she charges towards him with her Semblance, Adam prepares to unleash his. Rusty flashes back to when Loca died but doesn’t let that faze her as she goes faster.

·        Adam unleashes Moonslice, and slices her Charge barrier open, but Rusty herself is still unscathed. To his shock, she barrels forward with the remaining momentum and obliterates him with a solid axe strike to the back of his head, shattering his aura with an additional sickening crunch.

·        NOTE: (This part was added to mainly explain how Adam got taken out at Haven with just one bop from Blake.)

·        Just as RNBW and CAPA all run at Narange to take him down, a wave of bright orange flame erupts from the neighbouring chamber, blowing them back.

·        The source of this flame is the massive being from before, Xia ChengLong, a dragon Faunus with a set of horns and a pair of massive wings. She walks into the room slowly, talking about how she sees humanity has not become any less savage over the years.

·        The scattered and injured hunters get up and try to fight her but she beats them back one by one.

·        Only Rusty remains, and while she lands a solid hit, Chenglong is unfazed, almost disappointed when she sees Rusty.

·        She asks a simple “-Why?” before dealing several devastating punches, crumpling Rusty like nothing.

·        Narange gathers up the remaining Zodiac members, tells ChengLong that they’re ready to move out and retrieve her sword. He tells everyone to move out to the Bullheads.

·        As the White Fang leave the temple carrying out their injured, ChengLong unfurls her wings and flies out, hurling a giant fireball at the temple and sending it collapsing onto the fallen hunters before soaring off.

RNBW Volume 3b Episode 7!

·        The 11 Zodiac admins assemble in the ancient temple from several episodes before.

·        Yuki, Cliff, Dusty, Buck, Maple, and Blaise are exhausted from prior battles.

·        Adam and Narange are impatient as they arrange everyone into a circular formation around the centre of the temple. (Everyone stands above stone carvings with the Chinese character matching their respective Zodiac symbol on the stone ring in the centre, with the dragon symbol being in the centre instead of part of the ring)

·        Beside all of them are large piles of the fire Dust that Adam, Rufus, and Narange stole prior.

·        Rufus asks what all this is for, and Narange answers that the ritual requires them to channel the fire Dust energy through their bodies, but one single person doesn’t have the strength to do it without serious physical and mental deterioration.

·        Concentrating, the Zodiac channel the Fire Dust energy into the dragon talisman placed in the centre of the circle.

·        It travels into a chamber below that is completely frozen solid. A figure in the centre of the ice starts to stir.

·        Elsewhere in Vacuo, William calls Ironwood to warn him about the Zodiac and send reinforcements, but Ironwood declines, saying things are too tense in Atlas to send any more troops.

·        Disappointed, WCAPA catch sight of the Zodiac temple just as the earth starts to shake and orange+blue light shoots out of the temple.

·        As the rumbling and light reach an incredible crescendo, it stops suddenly.

·        The Zodiac admins look around, but only see that the centre of the temple has collapsed, revealing that that the chamber below is now full of boiling water.

·        Adam calls the whole plan a bust until a figure slowly rises to the surface of the water.

·        Narange tells the other admins to head out for the next phase of the plan, while he attends to this massive being.

·        Referring to this horned figure as “my lord”, he tells them that the White Fang have located the sword and the tear that will lead their plan to fruition.

·        WCAPA plan their next course of action, and Will comes up with an infiltration strategy.

·        He pulls out a White Fang uniform he recovered from the manor earlier, and says he’ll sneak them in as fake prisoners.

·        CAPA questions if Will can pass as a White Fang member until he takes his hat off.

·        They’re shocked by this, but there’s also a bit of “yeah, that explains a lot” mixed in.

·        Will is able to get CAPA into the temple, thanks to Aurelia signalling what the number password is to him.

·        They get to a room where they can change into more uniforms(?) and start looking for Brandeis, as Will tells Aurelia to start scanning for clues.

·        To their surprise, Brandeis greets them right around the corner.

·        Just as she begins talking, Aurelia rolls her eyes and opens fire, blasting her back and revealing her to be a disguised Yuki again.

·        Bitterly, Yuki signals the rest of the base to WCAPA’s presence.

·        Will gives the signal and a large explosion rocks the base, diverting the attention of all the White Fang members inside.

·        Nappa smugly strolls through the hole she made in the base with her new Spring Shoes.

·        She takes down a few White Fang grunts but is stopped by Violet.

·        The two engage in a very fast-paced, jump-filled fight.

·        Nappa’s explosion frees Brandeis from the stasis chamber she was being held in.

·        She weakly stumbles out, but soon after, notices an ancient scroll on a nearby desk with an intricate sword drawn on it.

·        Narange hears the explosion and tells his master that he will deal with the problem.

RNBW Vol 3b Episode 6

· In the dead of night, Brandeis sneaks off the campus. She doesn’t realize Icter and Ciel are stealthily tailing her.

· In prison, Nappa is using a cobbled-together laser to carefully slice through her anti-semblance collar.

· Before she can finish, some of the guards start to walk towards her cell.

· Nappa’s neighbour sees this and causes a distraction to help her.

· The guards rush over to the neighbour’s cell and threaten to assault him.

· Nappa slices off the collar and gets into her makeshift exo-suit, sounding the alarm.

· As the guards turn to see what’s going on, Nappa bursts out of her cell and swiftly takes out every guard in her way.

· She takes out the prison security system and hijacks a Bullhead to escape.

· Ori is minding her business at home when her drones detect an intruder.

· She directs them to the door and Nappa stumbles through exhausted, asking if she and her family can hide out here.

· Icter and Ciel follow Brandeis to a warehouse. “Brandeis” then shapeshifts into Yuki Sarugami, covert ops Zodiac admin.

· Icter leaps out to fight her, but she swiftly dodges. He asks who she is and where Brandeis is.

· Ciel stays back to film this for evidence.

· Yuki laughs at him while shifting between disguises saying that it was a piece of cake to take Sandra’s place before orientation, even though she had to swap her out to disguise herself as Brandeis when she got caught a few days ago. Turning into Atlas politicians to frame them was no problem either- they had it coming since they were already exploiting Faunus to begin with.

· She also taunts that there’s people out there willing to pay big money for someone like Brandeis.

· With a huntress position, it was very easy for her to screw with team communication, frame Atlesian public figures, and spread chaos in the country as a whole to allow for a stronger White Fang foothold.

· Icter, Ciel, and Yuki fight, and while both sides fight furiously, Yuki has the upper hand. She takes out Ciel, evading Icter’s attempts to stun her and eventually breaks his aura first.

· During the fight, they each blame the other for being part of why their families are so damaged.

· Before Yuki can land the killing blow, she is blown back by a burst of minigun fire.

· She gets up to see that LMNS have arrived to help, thanking Ciel for calling them earlier

· Yuki quickly darts off into the shadows.

· Icter sees that Yuki dropped Brandeis’ communicator in the scuffle and calls RNW.

· Will and Nappa pick up, asking where Brandeis is, and Icter recaps them on what happened

· Will tells the others where the Zodiac base is.

· Nappa says she’ll try to contact Rusty before heading there.

· Icter says it would be wise for many of them to stay and fix the tense political situation in Atlas.

· The next morning, Rusty is walking through town when an angry Goliath bursts through the forest to attack.

· Taking extra care to avoid collateral damage, Rusty brings it down by herself.

· The townspeople’s congratulations help her feel a bit better.

· When she gets home, Rusty’s mom tells her that the communicator that arrived in the mail has been ringing nonstop.

· Rusty finally decides to call Nappa and hears about what happened to Brandeis, which finally snaps her out of her funk.

· Nappa tells Rusty to head for the airport asap- and to take the other, much larger package with her.

· Rusty opens up the package.

RNBW Vol 3b Episode 5

Episode 5

·        Flashback to 8 years ago. A young Icter and his little sister Xan are waiting for their parents to come home.

·        Instead, the police arrive to tell them that their parents were killed in a White Fang attack.

·        The kids are devastated, and Icter hugs his sister to comfort her.

·        More images of Vytal and BISC flash by and Icter wakes up in a cold sweat.

·        An energetic Brandeis tells Icter and Ciel that they’re going on a Grimm hunting patrol while Sandra recovers.

·        Before heading out, Icter asks Ciel if she thinks something suspicious is going on. She replies that she’s unsure, and more concerned about Sandra’s condition, but Brandeis calls them off soon after.

·        As they patrol the city outskirts, Icter flashes back to 2 years ago, back in his old combat school. While sparring with his instructor, his instructor teaches him that heroes and villains aren’t clear-cut. Even ideologically, people on “your side” can be much worse than those on the “enemy side”.

·        Icter returns to reality just as several large Grimm attack, and Brandeis commands her teammates well in taking them down.

·        Back in prison, Nappa has almost finished working on what seems to be an exosuit. She chats with her neighbour, a Faunus, about what they miss about being outside, their family, and recent politics. They build a good rapport through quips and genuine sentiment.

·        Icter and Ciel go to check on Sandra’s recovery, despite Brandeis advising that she needs more time to recover.

·        Surprisingly enough, Sandra does recognise her teammates from early application forms and the opening ceremony, but has no other memories beyond that.

·        Her teammates try patiently to help her recollect.

·        Soon after leaving, Brandeis gets a call on her communicator from Will

·        He updates her on how his team has been doing, saying that they’ll soon head out to the Zodiac base right after more repairs and first aid for his team.

·        Brandeis acknowledges this, but seems weirdly stressed about this revelation too, hurrying off once the call ends.

·        Later on in the Atlas dorms, Icter is fiddling with a pendant, forlorn.

·        Ciel asks him what’s wrong, and he explains to her via flashback.

·        Back at the Vytal tournament, Icter and his sister Xan are enjoying themselves.

·        Xan asks Icter when he’s getting into Atlas Academy, and he replies that he will once he gets off the waiting list.

·        When the White Fang and the Grimm invade, Icter and Xan get separated.

·        Icter finds Xan being chased by the White Fang and tires to fight them off. In the ensuing conflict, a nearby house collapses on top of them.

·        Using his Semblance, Icter is able to keep Xan alive, but not fully unharmed.

·        We then see Icter by the bedside of a comatose Xan wrought with despair.

·        The story ends and we return to the present. Ciel is sympathetic with Icter.

·        Brandeis storms into the room angry about something, confusing them.

·        In Wulfric Manor, CAPA are helping Will and his mom recover physically and emotionally.

·        Will’s mom hands him a new Donnernblitz revolver for the coming fights.

·        In Vale, Rusty’s parents tell her that several packages have arrived from Atlas via drone.

·        Rusty says she’ll open them later.

RNBW Vol 3b Episode 4

· In Vale, Rufus sneaks around the warehouses until he finds Roman’s old Dust cache. He, Adam, and Narange steal all the fire Dust they can.

· They take out security and get away.

· The next day, Rusty hears gossip from old ladies in town about how Adam is now a violent criminal. When Rusty asks them about this, they mention remembering how cheerful he used to be back when he visited the village as a kid.

· As the sociopolitical situation in Atlas continues to decline, Team BISC is keeping an eye on a Robyn Hill’s rallies when the White Fang strike again.

· Once again, Team BISC heads off in pursuit off Cliff and Dusty.

· As they’re getting away, Cliff and Dusty receive a call from someone who sounds like Sandra that “(she) can’t keep BISC off them for much longer. Toss the girl out and get ready.”

· Brandeis turns the corner to see Cliff, Dusty, and a tied-up Sandra at their feet by the getaway van.

· In her shock, she doesn’t notice another “Sandra” sneaking up behind her.

· When Icter and Ciel arrive, they see Brandeis holding an unconscious Sandra as the White Fang van drives off.

· Brandeis says they were outnumbered and Sandra got hurt, that they all need to get back to school and make sure she gets medical attention.

· We see Nappa discreetly building something in her cell.

· WCAPA take down another White Fang outpost in Vacuo. When they unmask one of the grunts, William recognises him as a Hunds employee.

· Aurelia reads the grunt’s mind and finds out that Hunds actually has been the one arming the White Fang this whole time.

· William is mortified and initially in denial, but Agnes helps him rationalise and calm down.

· Steeling himself, he tells CAPA what the plan is.

· Back in Atlas, Winter is reprimanding BISC for their mistakes. Brandeis is oddly nonchalant and suave, managing to convince Winter that things will be okay. Icter is confused by this.

· Later that night (I should keep timezones in mind for all of this) WCAPA return to Wulfric manor, where they are greeted by Mrs Wulfric.

· Aurelia scans her mind and tells Will that she isn’t involved, much to his relief. He tells Agnes to get her to safety. As she is being escorted out, Will tells his confused mom that he’ll explain more eventually.

· When they reach Buck Wulfric’s office, Will asks his dad about the White Fang.

· His father plays dumb until Will and Aurelia pretend to know much more than they actually do, a bluff that succeeds in getting him to confess on recording.

· Will threatens to leak the footage if Buck doesn’t tell him more about what the Zodiac is planning.

· Buck explains that he didn’t want Will to come out as Faunus yet because he wanted the White Fang to establish equality and create a safer environment for his family.

· When Will hesitates for a second, Buck grabs a pistol and shoots through Aurelia’s aura, calling Maple and Blaise over to back him up.

· Buck is them immediately shot in the back by Agnes through the window, who has taken position on a hill far from the manor.

· Ptolemy and Cutter burst through the ceiling as backup to fight Maple and Blaise.

· In the ensuing fight, Wulfric Manor gets badly damaged, and the three Zodiac admins get away.

· As Ptolemy heals Will, Aurelia tells him that she was at least able to scan the location of the Zodiac base.

RNBW Vol 3b Episode 3

· Olivine and Violet ask Sienna Khan for additional troops but get turned down.

· As they leave Khan’s place, Olivine remarks that they still have more clients to meet.

· In the backstage of the Vacuo arena, Maple gives Blaise her contact info for recruitment but is turned down too.

· Breaking News in Atlas: Videos of various CEOs and politicians saying awful anti-Faunus things have leaked.

· This causes riots across Mantle advocating for their punishment.

· Team BISC hear from their temporary advisor Winter Schnee that the White Fang have been seen during these riots and sends them down to Mantle to quell it.

· At the riot, Team BISC is able to take down and apprehend several White Fang members, but they see Cliff and Dusty getting away.

· BISC tries to chase them down through the maze of alleyways but they’re somehow one step ahead and manage to escape.

· Brandeis runs into an exhausted Sandra, who remarks that she shouldn’t have stayed up late last night.

· In Vacuo, another riot is breaking out for similar reasons, and WCAPA is trying to contain it as well.

· Blaise watches a playback of the leaked videos and decides to call Maple to let her know she’s taking up her offer.

· William finds another clue to the White Fang’s base location and discusses it with his team.

· The riots are happening in Nappa’s prison as well, which is bad since she’s caught up in the violence without her tech.

· All the prisoners get violently reprimanded by the guards, including Nappa who didn’t do anything.

· When things look dire for Nappa, one of Ori’s drones flies by her cell, cloaked, and drops a couple of machine parts in front of her.

· More of Ori’s drones send color-coded communicators off to the other members of RNBW

· In Mistral, Olivine hands a vial of poison over to her clients, Watts and Hazel. Watts thanks her for her assistance but is noticeably creeped out from Violet just silently standing there.

· Back in her dorm, Brandeis feels guilty about not being able to complete the last mission.

· She gets more anxious when she realises the rest of her team saw her worried.

· She tells them she’d been trying to stay optimistic and motivated this whole time even though she’s been extremely nervous about if she’s a good leader. Or if they’re even doing the right thing anymore by fighting back rightfully angry Faunus under Atlas orders.

· She’s been trying to be a good leader for BISC and pouring herself into that role because Rusty was such a good leader to her, but now Brandeis wonders if that’s enough anymore.

· Her teammates reassure her that she’s doing a great job. Sandra apologises for staying up late and admits that she was busy studying more techniques because she’s felt so inferior and unprepared ever since being unable to stop what happened at Vytal.

· Ciel finally opens up and tells Sandra she understands it, especially after having lost Penny

· Icter agrees sincerely but still wonders what exactly happened during that last mission.

· At Rusty’s house, it’s dinnertime and her parents ask her what’s wrong. She doesn’t reply.

RNBW Volume 3b Episode 2

·        William takes CAPA back to his home, Wulfric Estate.

·        He introduces them to his parents, Buck and Cherry Wulfric, who warmly welcome CAPA and invite them to stay at the estate

·        William catches his parents up on recent events and we see more interactions (including the Will x Agnes teasing)

·        In Atlas, Team BISC are practicing team attacks and other combat techniques against robots.

·        Icter explains his Semblance, where he can cover anything with an unbreakable golden shield on touch.

·        The team feels a bit down when they don’t flawlessly take down the robots. Sandra especially since she mentions not having an unlocked Semblance yet.

·        Brandeis tells them not to feel down and helps them with more techniques.

·        Icter and Sandra cheer up from her words

·        On top of that, Ironwood congratulates them on their latest missions too.

·        In Atlas prison, Nappa tells someone to get something from her secret cache and mail it to her friends.

·        This person is revealed to be Ori, who is visiting.

·        LMNS have just left Haven academy after checking sending Ironwood’s correspondence to Lionheart.

·        Sapphire and Nanday want to go touring but Lyme reminds them that they have one more stop to make.

·        They arrive at Soie’s manor and she welcomes them in to see Angelo, who’s been living with her for a while.

·        LMNS tells Angelo that he’s been queued for a foster family and scholarship in Atlas, but also that Loca can’t be here to tell him in person because she has passed on.

·        Angelo struggles to take the news, but LMNS says they’ll be there if he needs them once he gets to Atlas.

·        Ori finds Nappa’s secret cache, which holds a miniature satellite and 4 communicators. Ori deploys the solar-powered satellite, which shoots off into the outer atmosphere.

·        Maple visits a Vacuo fight club where Shamo chicken Faunus Blaise Katrice just won a match.

RNBW Volume 3b Episode 1!

Volume 3b takes place roughly around RWBY Volume 4, with the only actual time constraint being that RNBW Vol3 as a whole ends before Adam kills Sienna in RWBY.

Similar to RWBY Volume 4/5, the gang has been split up across the world and the villains are using that advantage to further their plans- get ready for a lot of major changes to the status quo!

· Over 3 months since Vytal. Back in her hometown in the Vale woods, Rusty gets up, grabs her old axe, and heads into the forest to work.

· In Vacuo, Will now works with Team CAPA in Ironwood’s AceOps training program.

· They intercept a White Fang convoy and find that they’ve been transporting almost exclusively Hunds weapons and fire Dust.

· Will starts thinking about what their next move will be.

· In an ancient temple far away, Narange has gathered the other Zodiac admins to discuss what they need to do. He asks why Artie and Yuki are missing.

· Cliff remarks that Artie got arrested and he never liked him.

· Olivine adds that Yuki is off on an important intel mission.

· A small squabble breaks out between the Zodiac over who should do what until Narange shuts them up and gives them their assignments.

· Rufus, Adam, and himself will go to Vale to locate and recover a large stolen Dust cache from robberies last year.

· Olivine and Violet will go to Mistral to negotiate with Sienna and other factions/clients

· Cliff and Dusty will go to Atlas and aid Yuki on her political disruption mission.

· Maple and another masked figure will go to Vacuo and continue finding more new recruits and weapons.

· In Atlas, a ceremony is being conducted to introduce re-formed hunter teams, most notably Team BISC, featuring Ciel Soleil, Sandra O’Dile, Icter Goldman, and their leader- Brandeis Cygnette.

· Team BISC get to know each other, but Brandeis says she has to go visit someone after a bit.

· Brandeis goes with Nappa’s family to visit Nappa in prison and updates her that Atlas’ closed borders make it difficult to contact or visit Rusty, and Will has been very busy too.

· Brandeis expresses genuine concern in trying to prove Nappa’s innocence, but Nappa replies that she shouldn’t bother since it probably wouldn’t work.

· Nappa returns to her cell and breaks down in tears.

· As the sun sets in Vale, Rusty returns home.

RNBW Volume 3a Episodes 7-8

Episode 7 • Nappa calls CAPA to ask if they can help escort them to safety • Ptolemy asks her if Sapphire’s okay • Confused, Nappa replies that Sapphire’s a bit beaten but okay. • Ptolemy swears he saw her floating in the Griffin-filled skies but digresses and says they’ll meet her soon. • William and Ciel meet up with Ironwood, Glynda, and Qrow, clearing out some of the Grimm attacking them, and they all escape Beacon together, barring Glynda who still wants to contain the damage and find her cousin. • Rusty tries to talk to Adam, who’s still on an adrenaline high from earlier. It looks like her words might be breaking through to him, but he suddenly swings his sword right at her throat. • However, it gets stopped by an Aura bubble. • Loca arrives on the scene and blasts Adam back, bubbling Rusty away to a rooftop for safety. • Loca uses another bubble to pick up the Noctis scroll Adam dropped, and destroys it. • She says she was wondering how Adam brought so many Grimm across the border by air. • Adam says he’s been meaning to confront her for a long time. He calls Loca a hypocrite, saying that her inclusion program centres around training Faunus to attack the White Fang. A Faunus-on-Faunus violence narrative sells much better than if it were Human hunter teams, seems much less like oppression while keeping the same violence, and does nothing to actually change the basic societal problems that made the Faunus underprivileged to begin with. • Loca and Rusty hesitate at his words. • Loca and Adam fight, and it seems like she has the upper hand, holding Adam firmly in place with Aura bubbles, until she gets blasted back by a mini rocket. • Getting up, she sees that Narange has also joined the fight. • Rusty tries to shoot Narange, but he fires first, knocking her back. • Loca gets ready to fight them both, but Adam runs her through with his sword, fatally wounding her. • Furious, Rusty charges down to fight, but Adam unleashes his Semblance as she swings her axe at him, breaking it into pieces. • Using his Semblance, Narange grabs Adam and they both escape quickly. • Loca apologises to Rusty before passing on. Episode 8 • Will takes point as he and the others escape Beacon, sniping the Grimm that are further away. Ironwood is noticeably impressed. • Nappa, Brandeis, CAPA, and LMNS make it to the airship, and are joined by William, Ciel and Ironwood. • They nervously watch the Wyvern circling the CCT overhead. • Rusty carries Loca’s body through Vale, looking for help. • She finds Glynda and explains what happens. • Glynda is mortified, and says she’ll contact their family, and they’ll lay her to rest as soon as the situation here is contained. • She carries her cousin off to rescue services, sees signs of battle atop the CCT, and tells Rusty to get to safety. • William, Ciel, and Ironwood take off in his Bullhead. The other hunters are all in a separate airship. • As they take off, Nappa and Brandeis are worried that Rusty isn’t back yet, but the captain and teachers insist that they have to leave now. • Rusty has left the disaster area and she gets a call from her parents telling her they want her to stop her Huntress studies at Atlas • Looking around at all the death and destruction, Rusty solemnly agrees. • Several flying Grimm notice the airships and move in to attack. • Right before they do, a bright light shines from the top of the CCT, dazing them, and in their panic, nobody else on the airship notices Agnes’ hands glowing in response as the light floods the whole area. • When everyone arrives back in Atlas, Nappa is suddenly cuffed and dragged off by Atlesian police for association with the Black Queen virus, CCT tampering, and suspicion for developing neuro-technological devices outside of Atlas military jurisdiction. • William tries to protest this, but Ironwood pulls him away and tells him not to look. • Rusty returns home and hugs her parents. • From the rubble of Beacon, Narange breaks into a hidden safe beneath where they Wyvern was buried and recovers a talisman with a dragon
