Final Version of OS X Leaked!
Would have been nice if I thought of this last Tuesday...oh well.
Next Version of OS X leaked months before WWDC14!
Guess the Grille
If you remove all of the logos from a car, can you still tell who the marque is/what the make is?
The grille design is one of the most distinctive elements of a car and it is carried throughout all of the models.
Some marques cycle through grille designs regularly while some hold onto their heritage. I want to note that Jeep is markedly absent from this graphic because it is too obvious (part of their logo is the grille) and also…I sorta forgot and did not want to break the grid by adding another one or swap one I have already traced out.

I may follow up with a similar post about DRLs. As you can probably tell, I am very much into cars and cameras.
What Camera Should I Use?
I have been asked this many times – by family, friends and colleagues. My first responses is usually "what are you taking pictures of?" Sometimes they know what the subject is, and sometimes they just want to make sure they buy the "best" camera for their money.
I have included a quick reference guide that tries to guide you in your quest to find the camera you should use. This is not meant to be an exhaustive flow chart, but something to get you thinking about your photo subject before choosing your camera. Then it is up to you to research further into the types of cameras that may suit your needs.

For the record, I purposely made it a little difficult to connect which camera suggestion you end up with – so that you did not jump to conclusions based on which camera you want to use vs. which camera you should use.
Some backstory: my senior undergrad thesis project was based on photography (even though I majored in Graphic Design). My first digital camera that I owned (well my brother's) was a Canon PowerShot Digital Elph SD100 – one of the sleekest looking digital camers at the time (and still). I graduated to a Canon Rebel XSi dSLR when I started to get serious with conceptual photography after borrowing my friend's dSLR. Finally, I purchased a Canon 7D when I wanted to focus my senior project on studio photography.
Of course with SLRs and dSLRs, the camera body is only half of the story – and is why getting into dSLRs can become an expensive hobby. My favorite all-around lens is the EF-S 17–55mm f/2.8 IS – and my prized possession is the EF 300mm f/2.8L IS.
I am biased with Canon products, but I do not think you can go wrong with either Canon or Nikon.

Welcome to the teamUXD blog
This blog will focus on user experience design observations, commentaries, reviews, etc – anything from apps to retail store experiences.
I am starting this while attending SXSW Interactive 2014. This will be my second year attending and I have planned my visit more efficiently than last year based on lessons learned.
Stay tuned and I will keep you posted!
