“I hate my life,” Marshalia mumbled to herself. She was (with the exception of Autumn who was underneath her feet) alone in her bedroom with her head face down on her desk. In between Gumbald’s death, the Lich being summoned, the fight between her dad and Val, and finding out about the “deal” that Val made with that Lamia creature, the pressure was continuing to pile up and Marshalia wasn’t sure how much more she could take until she would snap. She figured that she could just pre-occupy her mind with something else, but alas, she was unsuccessful.

That’s when she heard her phone ring from the other side of the room. Marshalia looked over at her bedside table, where she had left her phone, before walking over to it. Picking up the phone, she checked the caller id, only to frown once she saw who it was.

“Speak of the devil,” Marshalia mumbled to herself, understanding the irony in her statement. The last thing that Marshalia wanted to deal with whatever Hunson wanted from her; most likely, he wanted to hang out with her and see how she was doing. And while Marshalia considered not answering the phone, she knew that he wasn’t going to stop trying to contact her, so she ultimately decided to answer the phone.

“What?” Marshalia said into the phone, sounding rather irritated.

Hunson was very excited to call Marsha, he was hoping that she would pick up and they could have a nice conversation. His expression changed when she picked the phone up only to sound irritated. “Oh, Um hey... I’ll make this quick!” He responded not wanting to disturb her.

“Uhh, I’m having some guest over tonight, I was wondering if you would like to come and eat with us. They are fairly quite compared to the other guest I have had in the past.” He started to twirl the cord of the phone. “It’s fine if you don’t... I understand!”
