i do actually want to say something about this real quick because i’m feeling crazy. gerri telling roman not to look at her before their behind-the-door masturbation fun because it’s a way to invoke shame. and gerri asking roman why he won’t look at her when he’s firing her at logan’s behest because he’s so so fucking ashamed of himself. and gerri having to look away from roman every time he makes her laugh because she doesn’t want to admit to him that she likes him and more than that she’s ashamed to admit it to herself. and roman breaking down at his father’s funeral in front of hundreds of people and weeping so openly and the very first thing she does is look away.
