Based in Central Texas, TECHNICIAN is a heavy, soulful exploration of Alternative Rock, Soul, Electronic Textures, under a Cinematic scope. Created by Navy veteran Joshua Raley, the project rejects escapism in favor of functionality, using music as a tool to stabilize and process the complexities of trauma and mental health. Supported by the visual storytelling of NEW RETROGRADE PRODUCTIONS, TECHNICIAN balances aggression with restraint. Another day.. another gym session. Focused chest today with a few shoulder workouts. My problem is I'm gaining lots of strength quickly.. but not gaining enough mass. This has to do with my sleeping schedule and not reaching my caloric intake goals. Because of this I may have to compete in the lower weight class next year for my competition. I'm big.. don't get me wrong. But I average 197 lbs right now. It varies from 191-201 depending on different variables. But I'm 6'2 1/2".. here lies the problem. I need to be heavier by March. But I don't need to be told the odds. I'll reach my goal. It just might take longer to reach 225 lbs.. and I'm okay with that. I won't risk injury and be out of the game completely.
