Making an Abel cosplay! Just figuring out some shapes first with cheap fabric, and I gotta refine the jacket a bit more, but for the skirt I’m really happy with the shape!

The December update as well as the final temperature blanket update!!! The last row was added last night, and in total my blanket is 6’4” long! I still need to add a boarder and weave in the ends, so I’ll take a picture with it completely unfolded then, but for now this is the last consistent update for the blanket!

Got this little guy as a gift for my friend! I did a little customization to make him look like Grookey, her favorite pokemon.

Clean up and customization process under the cut!

Here’s when I first got him, and he was honestly pretty gross :P his fur felt all grimy and there was dirt all in the crevices of his face plate

The first step was obviously a bath, so I skinned him, soaked the fur in some oxiclean in the sink for a bit before throwing it in the wash, and cleaned up the inner workings.

After everything was clean, I taped off the parts on the fur I was going to paint with painters tape. I used some slightly watered down fabric pain on the ears and feet, and then enamel paint on the face plate, eyes, and beak!

Once everything dried, it was just reassembly! Something’s up with his sensors I think, as when I put batteries in he does turn on, but immediately he goes to sleep and stops responding to any of the other triggers. Not a huge problem though as my friend wasn’t going to turn him on hardly, if ever. Overall I’m real happy with how he turned out, and my friend wasn’t too :)
