How many Polish drone music producers do you know? How many of them are girls?

In that light, it’s worth paying attention to a solo project of Tekla Mrozowicka, a drone sculptor with three faces (técieu / cétieu / éctieu) who, according to certain individuals, emerged on the Polish electronic scene as unexpectedly as jack-in-the-box as throughout the last 365 days she released 1001 minutes worth of music, garnering critical acclaim both domestically and abroad, including praise from the British Fluid-Radio magazine.

Tekla’s latest EP, released under the moniker of técieu, entitled “MIŁOŚĆ” (LOVE) which unveils her new stylistic image. It comprises three tracks which—running gamut from drone, noise to post-metal and harsh noise wall elements—constitute a coherent fusion of all of these styles. The material containing guitar parts has been entirely recorded using software, however in the accompaniment of virtual, non-guitar instruments.

“MIŁOŚĆ” was released on June 9 via fyh! records in a limited run of 45 copies on mini cd-r (with protective foil and carton cover, everything packed inside a modestly looking pink envelope). It definetly makes for an interesting listen, especially for fans of such artists as Sunn O))), Barn Owl, Nadja or Troum.
