Clean slate
I want a new beginning, a new me. Let me erase the past like it never happened. Let me have a clean slate. I need a different perspective.
May these scars be a sign of my own healing. The recovery of the body and the mind, in unision and as one.

I don't think I want happiness...
The greatest compliment
The greatest compliment for an artist is when their art is admired. Not in a way of just complimenting it. More in a way of politely asking for more, in every form.
One day I was playing a song on my guitar and my friend really liked it. She asked me to play it again. And now every time I play the guitar she either asks me to play it or I play it for her, and she sits quietly and listens. One time she almost fell asleep listening to me playing.
Or when someone asks to hear another of my poems.
Or when someone wants to see maybe one more drawing.
That is the greatest compliment for an artist.
