Monday 7th Feb; Morning Class

Today we were given the task of making a collage based on one of the subjects for Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)

For the collage task, I decided to do it handmade, the subjects I attempted to stick to where "Life on Land" and the "Water" part of "Water and Sanitation". I understand my product may not match my goal but there is so much one can do with a local newspaper.

the first thing I did was to go out into the town to pick up some materials; a notebook, a local newspaper and a glue stick.

next I cut out the parts I wanted and placed them were I wanted them to go

before sticking them in their places

Tuesday 25th Jan - Studio

On Tuesday's Studio class, we worked on producing shots for Pack shot Photography.

for every image, it was hard to find the balance for the sliders, it too me a few tries to get the background white, or a colour close enough to white, and for the subjects to be clear enough but still use recognisable, for this i used the sliders I used the sliders "Exposure", "Whites" and "Clarity", and sometimes "Blacks"

Folio 2 - What Do You See - WARNING: FLAMMABLE CONTENTS

This photo was took in 2020 during Folio 2 for the Environmental E-Zine and as we have just started I feel like this would be the best example.

Within the forests behind by home, there is a clearing that is a popular spot for groups of teens to gather, as well as their rubbish to be left. While I was exploring this area, underneath the tall tree in the middle of the clearing, I saw a firepit that was at least a few nights old, and when I went for a closer look I saw a few things had been thrown in. Wrappers and Monster cans mainly. But also a single SURE MEN roll on deodorant. There's ash and burns on the can, so only hope it wasn't thrown in while the fire was lit.

Today we were tasked with the Pantone Colour Project and we were given a colour to photograph. I got the colour Ultramarine and here is what I shot in my home

We are doing the Pantone Colour Project, I have spun the wheel and have gotten Ultramarine. I'm going to admit, its going to be hard to find a colour like this.

Task 6 : Showreel (26/04/2020)

Platform 1: Youtube

The music used in the video gives a good cantered balance to the strong messages of the images. The composition and lighting, and each images subject, may be different from each other, but each message is conveyed strongly through the imagery, the music as well as the sound effects added in.

Platform 2: Vimeo

I really like the way this Showreel not just shows the images this photographer has worked on but also the behind the scenes, and the fun, during the production of the portraits. The fast pace music suits the fast pace imagery.

Platform 3: Tiktok

A bit unconventional for Showreels, sure, but Tiktok is a widely used platform and a good way of getting things out there if you're starting out. Take this TikTok for example. The beautiful music, set with the ballerina, creates a calming and beautiful scene
