âOUT OF MY WAY.â she had to see it for herself. she tore through the streets of diagon alley, pushing through an endless crowd that was moving in the opposite direction. a nasty elbow to the cheek couldnât slow her down any more than the loss of her black and yellow wasps hat could, and it was left in the dirt as ginny moved to where nobody else wanted to be ; beneath the dark mark that had been cast INTO the sky. sheâs breathless, and it isnât just because of the effort it took to get her there - her chest is tight and her heartbeat is THRUMMING in her ears and for the very first time in two decades⊠ginny has a reason for the terror running through her veins like ice water.
feel the fear, she did ; but champion THROUGH it? raise her wand with a shaky hand, she did, though she wasnât sure she could BANISH it all on her own - a question unanswered due to itâs fading, suddenly, before her very eyes. she gasps. a sudden intake of breath, the force of which causes her to fold in upon herself like a little girl, not catching her breath, per se, but pulling herself TOGETHER. who knew how long sheâd stay there like that, if it werenât for the sudden footsteps that alert her to the fact she isnât alone, that bring her to whirl around, wand ready, âstay back-â
Teddy and Victoire had decided to split and take a look around for their younger cousins-- just in case. He had been looking everywhere but it was hard to make out faces when people were running around in a panic all over the place. He couldnât pin point anyone he knew in particular but then he heard something that caught his ear. Teddy heard gasps in a group of people. He was no longer an auror but he still thought like one from time to time. Did someone get hurt? Where were the aurors? Someone needed to be here to control everything that was happening and all the people that were freaked out needed some sort of comfort. Comfort that he could not provide.Â
He stepped closer to see someone pointing a wand and when he noticed who it was, Teddy stepped forward without hesitation. He had always looked up to Ginny. She had been there for him through so much and now he needed to be there for her. Teddy put his hands up as he stood in front of the person that she originally had pointed her wand at. âHey..â His voice was calm and soothing. He wasnât afraid. At least not for himself. âItâs me, itâs Teddy.â He understood why she was reacting like this. They had all fought so hard to get rid of this and yet here it was once more. It mustâve been a terrible wake up call. âLower your wand, Ginny, please.â He didnât want her to do something that she may regret later.Â
