Every year on June 27, American recognize National HIV Testing Day by raising awareness of the critical role that testing plays in fighting the HIV epidemic. 1.1 million people in the United States are currently living with HIV, and 1 in 7 people with HIV are unaware of their infection.

On December 1st the world commemorates World AIDS Day by honoring and celebrating the lives of all the people dedicated to ending HIV/AIDS. On December 2nd, Peer leaders and Youth Advocates of the BATES Network will come together with courageous and passionate voices and dare to speak up and speak out. They are removing the stigma of the virus and championing their peers to do the same. Join them in making your voice heard. Alone, we are but a whisper, but together we can be a force.

hello my name is Kleber Tobar coming to you guys from T.H.E.O to say Happy National Coming out Day to the LGBTQ Community for having the courage to come out and show the world for their true self, the beauty and challeneges that comes by coming out. For me, being a gay adolescent, it wasn't easy coming out to my parents, but I wasnt really living, knowing my parent's didnt know who i really was, so it was time and i am proud to say that I'M GAY and i have people who support me. I also wanted to remind you guys that on Octobor 15 we will be celebrating National Latino HIV Awareness Day for those Latinos who are living with HIV, HIV is a Virus that attacks the immune system by attaching itself to the cells and use them as a place to multiple itself, HIV can be easily transmitted like sexual intercourse (anal, vaginal, oral), sharing needles to inject drugs or even mother to child during birth, however HIV is NOT transmitted by air or water, sharing clothe or food utensils. Know Your Status and get tested every 3-6 months.
On the first episode of The CHAT, the THEO Peers will discuss how social media influences teens sexually.
