Good! In the middle of moving out after graduation so it’s a bit hectic, but I’ll be sure to post again once I’ve got the little guys settled here at my parents place

Frito and the Trio

Exams are finally over so I have finally update you all on the happenings within the household.

Turns out Frito is sneakier than I thought! The trio came back from their neighborhood patrol and flipped when they saw the new baby. Apparently Frito had been completely sneaking past all of their attempts to catch him which was what their weird behaviors were about.

In good news, they’re getting along great!

Turns out Buddy has a soft spot for the babies, came back from class and caught them wrestling.

Adosir has been checking Fritos health regularly, his size is a concern given we’re feeding him well but he’s not growing at all. Hopefully it’s just that he’s naturally small and not a sign of something more severe.

And finally Minohtehp over here has unfortunately scared the baby while trying to figure out what he’s saying. He’s been trying to apologize but Frito isn’t having it.

On that note though we finally know what language Frito is speaking!

Little Bit on Frito

The trio is still out of the house, but this is pretty normal given they’ve settled into their scouting duties around the house. They’ll be back roughly tomorrow afternoon if I remember the patterns, they should be meeting up with the imperial fists on the other side of the neighborhood about now.

But in the meantime I’ve been getting to know a bit about Frito!

He’s really tiny for an Astartes, not malnourished I checked with the apothecary at my campus, but definitely tiny.

On top of that I can confirm: Frito is a baby!!

Fresh out of the aspirant stage he’s a first molt neophyte. At this stage they’re completely indistinguishable from any other Astartes, chaos or otherwise, and they’d be getting their first decorations and markings from their legion or chapter.

But that’s the problem, Frito doesn’t have a legion or chapter.

He’s not speaking gothic like the trio so I don’t know what group he originated from, but part of a healthy upbringing is going to be inducting him into his chapter of origin. That means I’m going to have to figure out his language, figure out his chapter, paint/sculpt all his markings, and get him ready for full fledged Astarteshood.

So I was getting ready to place the Astartes trap before class, but uh looks like there’s no need for it anymore.

There was a neophyte in my backpack.

Fearless little idiot climbed straight over me and went after my chips. Safe to say I’ve found our culprit.

The boys are out right now and I’m worried this little guy will hurt himself if I leave him here alone, so I’ll be taking him with me to class for the time being. I wonder how old he is? He doesn’t even have any markings so it’s impossible to tell if he’s chaos or loyalist.

Im calling him Frito for the time being, given he ate all my chips. Hopefully he behaves for the lectures.

The boys are acting weird again

Okay somethings up with the trio I just don’t know what.

By all accounts they’re actually on their best behavior yet. They’re cleaning up after themselves, they’re making an active effort to warn me when things are about to run out, and they’re being really good about not keeping me up those days I have my 6am class.

But they’re being sketchy as hell.

I’ll be missing an item and suddenly one of them distracts me and when I turn around the item is suddenly exactly where I expected it to be. Sometimes I think I’ll hear a commotion but when I go check they’re acting perfectly natural. And sometimes I’ll wonder where one of them is and suddenly they’re at my side like they were never gone!

I feel like I’m some cheesy action comedy and these three are trying to stop me from figuring something out.

Or maybe it’s the all nighters finally getting to me.

The boys are out enjoying the rain today so I guess I won’t look a gift horse in the mouth and just enjoy the peace while it lasts.

I agree that there is another Astartes/primarch in the house that your boys haven’t told you about. Considering the things going missing, I wonder if it is a Blood Raven.

On the other hand, your boys understand you’re genuinely upset at them. They likely don’t want ro get kicked out by such a kind host. So they may be trying to right any wrongs and not cause you trouble. The commotion might be a scuffle with the thief?

I’d never kick the boys out! I was saying I’d go spend time with a friend if they kept the trouble up but that was before I suspected there was another one around.

It might be another Astartes given I haven’t seen any of the usual signs attributed to primarchs, but now I’m worried for them and the thief. I don’t want anyone getting hurt, I might just have to set out another Astartes trap and see what pops up.

(Hopefully it’s something I can handle 😭)

That’s a wrap folks

Looks like it’s the end of the good egg streak for our trio.

Unfortunately I started finding missing food and stolen items starting yesterday, I couldn’t chalk all of it up to me displacing things during exam days because it was all randomized and not things I’d normally move around anyways. The boys insisted it wasn’t them but there’s really no other culprit.

Last straw was this morning when I woke up to see that the fridge had been completely ransacked and left open overnight. It’s left a lot of spoiled food unfortunately so that’s been a hassle to deal with too.

They’re troublemakers sure but I never expected to this extent. I can’t be dealing with this level of destruction on top of schooling it’s exhausting. I’ve been upfront with the trio, if this keeps happening then I really will need to spend a few days at my friends place to have the peace needed for these exams. If I don’t pass I don’t graduate, I can’t afford to underperform here.

I hate seeing them so upset, but I really can’t stress enough how much I cannot handle extra work right now. Hopefully they’ll keep it together now that I’ve been honest about my situation.

Is there anything I can do? Are they under stimulated, should I get them more toys and activities?

No news is Good news

The trio has been on their best behavior these last two days, I think they’ve finally clocked that I’m not exactly in the mood for shenanigans.

Hopefully this good egg streak lasts through next week. I’ve got three exams and I can’t afford to be playing up the babysitter act for three full grown Astartes.

The ducks at the very least have been surprisingly helpful, weirdly good at finding my pens too!

All in all everything looks to be smooth sailing. Although buddy has had a few moody moments they’re not as bad as before. I think it’s more than anything lashing out at new changes, he’s a praetor and reading up on them I learned he’s essentially in charge of his brothers.

Oldest sibling to oldest sibling; I get it. I get snippy when things aren’t perfect too. Doesn’t excuse letting it out on everyone else though.

For now they’re still in time out but if they keep this streak until my exams are over I’ll let them get back to their shenanigans.

Finally got the full story.

Turns out Minoh didn’t like the three week wait for me to get back home and tried to create a spell to make time speed up. Only little guy screwed it up and accidentally trapped me in a time dilation spell.

Good news, thousand sons are common in my area so my college was well prepared for this. Some more warp shenanigans via the colleges own thousand sons warband and I’ve essentially caught up on three missed months of class in a day.

I’ll try not to have a crisis about that.

Regardless for the time being Minoh is in time out. Thankfully the other two are more well behaved!

Hi! Yeah I’m doing great no worries!! I just finished finals and immediately left the country to spend the holidays with family, I just haven’t posted because I haven’t been home sorry to worry you! 😅

Well finals is still in full swing and I’m just about losing all my hair from the stress alone, but the little guys have been doing just fine here!

Adosir has been settling in just fine, he’s actually a lot more energetic than I expected from a blood angel and he’ll regularly try and wrestle me while I’m studying.

He’s been a great distraction, although I really do need to focus this last week 😅

Minotehp on the other hand has been trying to help me study! While most of the books he’s summoned up from magic are in a different language, and too small to read, his rough translations have helped me work out some of the harder stuff.

At least when he’s not standing square in front of my study material.

Now buddy is back to being his cuddly curious self, but he’s also been weirdly avoidant. Whenever I try to ask about his previous outbursts he’ll try to distract me or he’ll just outright run away.

I’m not worried for his health, he’s wrestling like an Astartes should and has the appropriate appetite, but I’m worried this could be some kind of trauma? No clue, I guess I’ll have to wait him out. I can be patient when I need to be.
