As we enter the month of July...
It takes 21 days to form a habit. Since July has 31 days and I’m probably going to mess up a few times, I figured that tomorrow would be the perfect day to begin incorporating a few small but important changes into my life.
1. Drink 8 glasses of water every day (because hydration is important)
2. Roll out and ice every day (because 20 minutes a day is worth making sure that I never repeat my senior year cross country season again)
3. Learn something new every day (because I’m just beginning to realize that there is so much I don’t know)
4. Get rid of one thing every day (because I have so much stuff sitting around my room that someone else could probably put to good use)
5. Write a little bit of poetry every day (because when I was taking creative writing last semester I actually wrote some decent stuff and I’m excited to see what I can do when I put more time into it)
6. Shut my laptop down each night (because it’s good for the battery and the environment)
I’ll try to post daily how I did with each of the goals, as a way to keep myself accountable! I’m really excited because I’ve never done anything like this before. I usually try to make a whole bunch of changes all at once and then get overwhelmed and let them all fall apart. I’m hoping that by focusing on 6 small things, I can make the habits stick!
