One of my favorite Akira Toriyama -isms is that sometimes when a scene gets tense, the background gets replaced with these hatched squiggly spirals.

It doesn't appear much in the anime (from my memory) and seems to be more of a manga exclusive thing.

I really like them!

A fourth grader at my work saw Doritos and Fritos by the animator bb panzu and started asking me about homestuck.

Oh no.

I really wish MAD was still a thing on Cartoon Network because they'd make an awful Backrooms parody with the actors faces pasted over a cartoon body.

It would have something like the Suicide Squad be sent into the backrooms to scout it out. Will Smith would say "What is this, some sort of backrooms?"

And then a spy vs spy skit would be right after and you'd forget the entire parody from earlier.
