This is my ClinCheck!

My dentist sent me this video that shows exactly what my teeth will be doing for the next 14 months. It's super exciting to be able to see how they're going to look and what's going to be happening before it even starts.

During the appointment where i was shown this, my dentist also explained that there would probably be some tooth shaving around the teeth on the side and where my attachments will be. 

I was kind of disappointed by the placing of my attachments as they are right the way across the front at the top and some around the front at the bottom. With Invisalign, the braces themselves are clear so its a bit annoying that my attachments will be visable. However, i totally understand that they help the teeth move better etc and hopefully i wont notice them too much once they are actually attached.

Looking into Invisalign

I've been considering Invisalign and other kinds of braces for the entirety of my undergraduate degree. Since i have just graduated, now seems as good of a time as any to finally take the next step. 

Having had braces when i was very young and still had baby teeth, i grew up with relatively straight teeth, but in the last few years they've moved significantly and i now cannot bear to look at them. Three years after first starting to look into braces, i have finally chosen an orthodontist and had my initial appointments.

I saw my regular dentist 6 months ago, who offered me either fixed braces or Inman Aligners. Inman Aligners couldn't guarantee the results i wanted and fixed braces are just too inconvenient.

After considering these options, I decided to visit another dentist who offers a wider range of cosmetic dentistry. My first appointment with The Smile Practice was a month ago and in the time between that appointment and now, i have had a consultation, xrays, moulds taken and received my ClinCheck. The dentists here are really helpful and have been able to give me all the advice i could ask for on this decision. 

Next week, I will get my first set of trays and will be wearing them for the next 14 months. 

I will be updating here at least every two weeks, as I change my trays, to keep up with the changes and hopefully see some massive improvements.
