It's decorative (and also delicious) gourd season, folks! Aww yeah!
Finally got around to taking a good photo of this one. Painted from life.
occasionally I am struck dumb by the sublime beauty of the world in the small moments, you know?
egg
By the way, did I mention that I made The Egg into a bona fide oil painting?
Yeah, the egg now graces my wall for all my guests to see.

I love how this shows how real artists drawing a thing aren't just representing the thing, but showing you what THEY found beautiful in it.

YO I HEARD WE'RE DOING EGGS
Mental health is actually pretty simple. You have a brain, which is you, but is also a thing which pretends it's you. Sometimes, the thing is broken, meaning it pretends to be you wrong. When this happens, you have to pretend to not be you so that you can look at yourself objectively to decide what your brain isn't pretending to do correctly and how to pretend to do it better. However, sometimes you pretend to not be you wrong and you actually make things worse, so you have to pretend to be yourself again to look objectively at you pretending to not be yourself. You can always tell which of these you need to do by consulting your feelings, which are wrong and irrational, and your thoughts, which are also wrong and irrational. But don't worry about that, because the rules you use to decide when something is wrong and irrational are also wrong and irrational. Good luck!
My master copy of a pencil portrait by Stephen Baumann
The photo on the wikipedia article for poison hemlock is absolutely gorgeous, so I painted a study of it. Detail:
Quick sketch of a praying girl
Cabin in the woods near Rosswangen, Germany. Lighting study.
Color Study / master copy of a piece by Anastasia Shestak
Thousands of hours of drawing practice, and THIS is what I'm using it for.
Merry Christmas, you degenerates.

Skull #2: 2 Flesh 2 End
This one's colored pencils and cheap alcohol markers. I love how the cheap markers end up with a watercolor-like texture.
One Flesh, One End
I'm kind of unhappy with how this turned out. I had the idea with the two colors way too late in the process. Ah well, I learned something at least
I've been trying out Rebelle 6 for digital painting. It's amazing.
Can you tell that I've been reading The Locked Tomb? ☠️
