“You know, I wouldn’t have put it like that. But yeah I guess.” He sighed heavily, hand through his hair at the words. He supposed to some he had everything that he could need. Friends and teammates, a long lifespan, the ability to heal from most things that would kill a person, people who thought the world of him.
The list was long. But he also had nothing in the sense that he hadn’t felt quite right in a long time. Even with everything that he had, he felt like he hadn’t done enough, and maybe he could never do enough. “Maybe that’s the way it’s supposed to be.”
“I have been known to be spoken of in the same light.” He paused, moving his electric chair. “But you know, it’s not what you don’t have that matters. It’s what you do. I’ve some knowledge of your life, Rogers. You are a hero.”
