I’m so sorry guys but I don’t know if I can continue this blog after hearing about what NG had done in more detail.

I thought that I could salvage it see it as Terry pratchetts story instead but the NG stuff has made me feel so sick.

I think I’ll be stepping back from posting for the foreseeable future.

I hope the victims get the help, support and safety they deserve and need. I’m sorry that fuckbag did those things to you. He deserves every ounce of hate he gets from now on.

The Neil Gaiman article has EXTREMELY GRAPHIC depictions of sexual assault & abuse.

I'm making a separate post because I'm not someone who takes these trigger/content warnings lightly and even I was surprised at how awful the abuse was—and the survivors do not mince words at describing exactly what happened to them.

If you are not able to handle reading the article, don't try to force yourself. It is really very disturbing.

I wrote the script for this comic (along with its sequel, which I may or may not commit to the page at some point) earlier this year, and in a fit of the WORST timing known to man or beast, I finally finished drawing it and had started releasing it page by page on Patreon just before a certain scandal upended the entire Good Omens fandom.

(I don't want to talk about it. Please don't make me talk about it.)

At any rate, the world is not as it was when I made this comic, and I could have trashed it without posting at all, I suppose. But I worked hard on this, and I'm proud of it, and it's some of my best work so far as an artist and writer. And not only that, I believe that under our current circumstances, the message in it is now more important than ever.

Just drive anyway.

We can't despair, we can't. Despair is the greatest enemy we have in this complicated, cruel age we live in, and the only way to combat it is to persist, through disaster and heartbreak and hopelessness, and sometimes without the people we thought would have our backs. We are only doomed if we give up.

So my ineffable friends, stay compassionate and keep asking questions. Remember that people are fundamentally people, intensely complicated and contradictory, and that you are not defined by the things that you enjoy nor are you responsible for their creators. Acknowledge the hurt, but also remember the joy, and don't be ashamed of how you found it.

And just drive anyway.
