hi just reread ur fic “bittersweet” for like the 100th time and i always go back to check up on it for an update. and i know its been like 6 years and you’ve probably outgrown the story or have no interest in updating it anymore(i know how draining and frustrating it can be to write long fics, especially with as much care as u write) but i just want to let you know its always on my mind and its one of my favorite fics of all time. the characters, the plot, the way in which u write, literally everything about it. but just know u still have devoted fans (like me!) who await ur return and respect you no matter if u update or not. just thankful you even wrote it in the first place to be honest(: thank you for writing ayato and kaneki so beautifully and creating a fic that touches on breakups and what it can do to someone. and the happiness and feeling of being brought back to life when that someone falls in love again when they thought they wouldn’t be able to anymore(shuu, i love you). sorry this is so long i just felt if i commented on ao3 (i have before back when the last update happened 6 years ago) you probably wouldnt see it? idek if you’ll see it on here but i have to try lol. good luck in ur life and whatever ur currently doing!! i hope u still write bc ur talent is too beautiful to let go of.
I read this yesterday and was so touched that I didn’t know how to respond. Thank you very very very much. Tearing up again over your sweet comment.
I haven’t written much in the last few years because life is busy, but it’s always on the back of my mind. It’s something I want to get back into. Usually before bed I’ll read for 45mins-1hr, so I was thinking of writing during that time frame instead this week and going forward!
I’ve had the next chapter written (about 40% done) for so long. I know I can keep going, and your support has helped a lot with my motivation and belief in myself. ❤️
Earlier today I started reading back over the fic and fell in love with Ayaken all over again. I had this original ending conflict in mind since the beginning, but I might change it a bit (should happen in 2-3 chaps), as they both need some sort of resolution from this!
I’m going to get working. Thank you again for your kindness, Anon! I’ll dedicate this upcoming chapter to you when I post.
