Israel wasnât one for large gatherings himself. Something about crowds made him feel uneasy. Maybe it was his anxiety. Or maybe it was just the fact that bad things tended to happen during large gatherings. Sighing to himself he didnât quite understand what all of this had to do with Ostara anyway. Back in his homeland, they celebrated differently. He honestly didnât see the point in all of this carnal violence but people had their own opinions and he would respect that. Not that he had much say. Pushing away his dismal thoughts he looked up and over at the human next to him. Smiling brightly, a ghost of a chuckle clung to his lips. Iâm good. He replied, looking over the paint that now covered his body. Canât say much of the others. He added, jutting his head towards a few of the other prisoners nursing their wounds. Looking back to Dex he nodded, acknowledging his words. Donât kill anyone. Got it. The wolf saluted playfully at the other before taking a seat next to him. Turning his head he watched the waves roll in and out, crashing along the shore than pulling away again.
With a small frown, he looked back to the fights, his face impassive towards the violence. Looking up at Dex he tilted his head at the human. I take it youâre not going to participate? He asked, hiking a brow at the human. He was curious as to what the human thought about all of this. Iâm not a fighter myself. Just not in my programming. He joked, despite that being a lie. He was able to fight and he could fight. But, he didnât enjoy it. Even when he snapped he found when the haze lifted that he didnât enjoy what he had done. It was purely instinctual. He got caught up in the chaos and the panic, the anger he had felt had stirred him on. Dashing the thought, he bit his bloodied lip, wincing at the sting as he licked the blood away.
Dexter watched the other salute, and he was glad of it, smiled at the cockiness, but he hoped the message got through. So far the prisoners in the rings had either been vicious or had no fighting skills what-so-ever, and it went from one extreme to another. He didnât want anyone getting hurt beyond the point of repair, especially when humans were in these fights.
âI would, but I promised to oversee, and Iâm not stupid enough to think iâd win.â he said as he looked down to Israel. The wolf looked a little down-hearted and Dex decided to take a break from the diligent overseeing of the fights, sliding down so he was sat at the prisoners side. A few minutes didnât hurt anyone.
âI enjoy fighting, I find it therapeutic, and as long as as itâs constructive. But this isnât that, so no, I donât fight for the sake of violence. i started my fight nights to help people get out their frustrations. I grew up in an area that was full of fights and gangs, and if we had somewhere to go, someone to train us and take us off the streets we would of done so much better.â
