Late Night Talk - Geist & Abrams

Moonlight streamed in through the window, a cool breeze fluttered about the room and shifted some of the pages. On the coffee table sat several large tomes, all open to various pages. Candles sat about the room, casting a harsh contrasting glow about the room. It was almost as if the light from the moon and the flames were fighting, blue and orange lights mingling and vying for power.

The woman occupying the room sat back against the couch, letting out a sigh through parted lips. Lady Geist had been sitting here for hours now, pouring over the books and trying to uncover anything from them. The books had been given to her by Professor Dynamo and she had spent as much time as she could with them. He had been rather insisting that they return to him in good condition; she had only scoffed at him, offended that he would think her so careless. Behind her the old clock she had brought from her house rang out, signaling that it was already midnight.
