Hey, I have some new followers (and mutuals hiiiiiiii) since I've done any sort of directory post, so here's a quick one:

Tentajack (Main Blog)(But I don't use it like one! I consider this to be my art blog)

Tentasextras (this is the side blog I use like a main blog)

This is where I post my art, write my personal posts, and reblog things for a few fandoms (and sometimes friend art). Everything else that I choose not to tag goes into the sideblog (including updates on Palestinian fundraisers and news, please keep any dms/pings/asks about that to that blog only)

All my nsfw stuff is over in my pillowfort blog (seriously guys use pillowfort we've been meeting all our funding goals for 9 months now please don't make me get a bluesky account it's just twitter and twitter already sucked before it got worse). I sometimes make unique posts over there so check it out if you're not familiar with the site, it is still my top recommendation as a tumblr replacement except for audio/video, and the place you can find me as tumblr continues its death spiral.

Don't follow me if you're under 18 because I do make nuanced posts and nsfw stuff from time to time. I block bots and bigots, and younger users if they don't stop at a softblock.

Maxlie Week 2026 - Day 2: "Swap"

Thing I learned by following closely the release of Outer Worlds 2, is that at least a portion of RPG fans do not like rpgs at all. It tends to become immediately obvious when the reaction to not being able to complete a skill check isn't "my character can't do that because of their stats, which I assigned" but is instead a great reason to complain about the game gatekeeping stuff from them.

The skills you did not choose are as much of a characterization of your hero as the skills you DID choosev. By focusing on guns and say hacking, you made the decision that your character will not be good at everything else. This locks certain paths, but opens others- it is the point of RPGs.

If you cannot handle not opening every single safe, convincing every single npc, killing every single enemy without healing or using revives, uncovering every single hidden object and whatever else, maybe you shouldn't play games where limiting your character is one of the core mechanics of the GENRE.

i am not an expert on RPGs in the slightest. But it truly doesn't sit right with me, that in a category of games where you take on a role and try to navigate the story and world while playing that role there are so many people who complain that they cannot do everything in a single run.

You don't want an RPG. You want a linear story game, where everything is available to you regardless of your choices or what backstory you made up for your character, with no way to do things in the wrong order and lock yourself out of anything.

The fact you cannot change your Buff Musclemax character into a McNinja Superhaxx in the middle of the game is good actually. You're supposed to play the part. You can just play the game again with a different setup later.

It’s frustrating when your body can’t handle the amount of activity you want or need to do- and I’m not talking about exercise, I’m talking about activities as in the things you do everyday: showering, hobbies, work school, chores, hanging out with friends, watching tv, etc. Now just imagine not being able to do all of those things, even if you absolutely need to, imagine having to pick and choose every single day what you can do, and what is worth pushing past your symptoms for. Will I shower or do the dishes today? Cook dinner or do a hobby I haven’t been able to get to in a week? Rest or ignore the symptoms knowing I will feel worse later if I do so? It may seem like a silly, inconvenient, even stupid way of doing things to you, but to me this is my everyday life, if I do not make these wagers I will suffer for it, and oftentimes I will still suffer for it despite these sacrifices and my best efforts.
