Despicable Me 2
Okay, I'm a little behind on my reviewing, and I apologize, so here we go.
I saw Despicable Me 2 about a week ago and it was, without a doubt, very adorable. As with most children's movie sequels it was not as good as the first one. But then again it's pretty hard to garner the cuteness overload that is Agnes freaking out over a fluffy unicorn a second time around.
There were certain aspects of the plot that I didn't really feel needed to be included. Such as the super pushy friend who kept trying to set Gru up with women. I mean, yes, he's a middle aged man who doesn't date but we don't need a character whose entire purpose is to point that out to us. Do we?
I did love seeing the girls characters develop more in this movie. Especially Margo, since a lot of what she did in the first movie was be a sort of mother-figure for her younger sisters. It was nice to see her grow on her own.
It really was quite an adorable movie and full of some nice laughs. I mean, who doesn't love a movie where tiny yellow creatures are misguided because of their love of ice cream.
Until next time, eat guacamole out of chip-sombreros.
