"Why would a woman's success be a threat to a man?" Reflecting on one of my favorite quotes after a weekend spent with incredible women. We talked a lot at our @leaninorg meetup yesterday about how it feels in male dominated workplaces but we wanted to be sure to not be pinning women against men. That's not what all this work is about. It's about working together with every gender and every race to get us all on the same page, to learn how to have compassion for one another and to lift each other up. I'm happy to report that we began a journey toward that process this weekend and it can only get better from here. #women #indy

Current Mantra. So much breathing and letting go lately. So much shedding of the past and releasing control to the universe and chanting, "I am free". Boy am I exhausted some days. But this is when it gets good. This is when it all really begins again. This is when you have to keep climbing and breathing and releasing and believing. Being a woman is really complicated. A lot of men I talk to don't seem to understand and I think it's because we don't tell them what it is like for us. We don't talk about the pressure, the fear, the feelings of inadequacy and the confusing messages we get from society. Be this but not that, do this but not too much. Today on the blog I remind girls that the most important thing they can do is tune out all of that bullshit and noise and learn to really love themselves for who they are.
